Perfect Escapism!
We have stayed at this cabin a few times and never disappoints. There is no tv...but there is also no close neighbors, no noise except for the river flowing, no property problems and no rules that can make your rental a stressful nightmare. This is the place to regenerate...rest, read, listen to the birds and the river. The owners are the best you can ask for in a rental. They never bother you and are there if you have any questions....It is PERFECT..

Great gateway Cabin!
My husband, myself and our little dog enjoyed the cabin very much. It’s a quiet and peaceful place. Dennis was super nice and ready to help us if we needed anything. We stayed 2 nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. The river view is amazing from the covered patio. We absolutely love it and can’t wait to come back.

Cabin was as advertised. Small but it was sufficient. We did not cook but there was a stove with necessary pots, etc. Tve location was remote down a 3 mile dirt road but the road was good. I would stay here again.

We had a great time, just like our last visit. This time we had better weather were able to enjoy a visit to Big Schoals along with the coziness of the cabin. As always, Dennis was a hospitable host. Highly recommend.

It was the best perfect location beautiful view, perfect size for me and my husband. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch and having no tv was amazingly relaxing. We will be back even if only for a weekend trip. Loved the banana nut bread that was waiting on us also.

The Little Cabin That Could
The cabin has a fantastic view of the Suwanee River; it's 50 meters away! We enjoyed watching the river flow and being unplugged from the city for a few days. There is a nice fire pit where we could sit outside in the evening. Our two small dogs enjoyed the cabin, and sniffing around the forest outside. It was raining frequently during our visit, which can cause mobility problems for sedans on the muddy roads leading to the cabin, but we had no issues while driving my Chevy Silverado and my wife's Honda CR-V. The owner has all the necessities at the cabin--like bug spray, charcoal, lighter fluid, spare lightbulbs, and firewood. It was a perfect location to stage for scuba diving in the numerous underwater cave systems in the area. We'll be back!

Great Cabin for getting back to nature & excellent hiking nearby
I needed a place to get away and recharge and I couldn't have found a better place. The cabin's river views are perfect for connecting with nature and the layout of the cabin allowed plenty of room for yoga. There is one neighbor near, but the properties are separated by trees so you have privacy and still feel secluded and safe. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were incredible state parks just down the street with well kept natural trails along the bluff of the Suwannee River. I hiked the Big Shoals State Park and the Stephen Foster State Park trails, both were perfect for getting back to nature. The comforts of the cabin were perfect and the owners were available by text. There is a Dollar store and gas station in town in case you need to pick up any necessities. I'm so glad I picked this cabin for a getaway and highly recommend a stay there.

Secluded and homey
The property and cabin were exactly what I’d hoped for! You have a beautiful view of the river right from the cabin and barely a soul in sight, I truly was able to “step away!” I felt completely safe which was important for me being I was there alone and the cabin had everything I needed and was spotless and fully stocked. Dennis was immediately available the one time I needed help with directions and the property was quiet and out of the way. I’m hoping to makes it back next year!

What a lovely cabin tucked away right on the Suwanee River! Spouse and I really enjoyed our stay here while we were in town for an ultra trail race. Convenient to nearby state parks and had all we needed for a weekend retreat.

You won't find better....
This was our second visit to this cabin which should just about say it all. It's secluded and peaceful and perfect for anyone who really wants to unwind. It's your home away from home. The pictures do not do this property justice. The cabin is affordable. The hosts are always accessible and mother nature will not let you down!

Always a relaxing time
We visit the cabin a few tes each year. It is always a great getaway and so relaxing. This time we were able to sit out on the screen porch in the evening with a cocktail and watch the thunderstorms for hours.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very peaceful..nature at its best. Sitting out on the screened porch in the morning was what people look for in a mini vacation..No people..no traffic..secluded...The swing in the gazebo overlooking the river was an unexpected surprise along with the fire pit. We "roped" down to the river. We took advantage of the covered barbeque area.. Highly recommend!

We loved the small cabin! The rope going down the hill was a little scary, but fun and my husband got to see a lot of wildlife in the river below. He did some fishing and we sat by the fire at night. The forest nearby was amazing and we took a trail along the river. Such a awesome walk.

River Retreat
The property is nice and so is the cabin. The bed is comfy and the views are beautiful. Big Shoals State Park is very nearby. The hike to the Big Shoals viewing area is a fun thing to do during the day.

Beautiful view of the river. Comfortable bed and accommodations. Would like to come back in another season. Yellow flies made it impossible to be outside and porch door didn’t shut right to keep them out. There is a public boat ramp across the river and down a bit. People were loudly partying into the wee hours. I bet wintertime is quiet & serene.

Better than we could have imagined
We had a wonderful, relaxing time. I don't think you can accurately picture how serene and beautiful Dennis' property is and how well maintained the cabin is! We needed both A/C and heat during our stay (FL winter!) and the temperature was so comfy. Dennis was so responsive when we had questions and yes, the banana bread was as delicious as other reviews say :) We loved our time at the cabin.

Woodsy weekend getaway
This experience exceeded all expectations. Dennis, the property owner, was very attentive and ensured that we arrived safely. We were greeted with surprise homemade goodies in the fridge. The cabin was very cozy, perfect for those looking for a different kind of escape than those typically offered in Florida. The woods and river were amazing, and although our plans ended up being influenced by rain and first cold front of the season, it was still a great vacation. Wish we could’ve stayed! Highly recommend!

Very quiet. Hardly saw a soul. Dennis was ready to be helpful but also stayed in the background. Knotty pine cabin interior displays fine craftmanship. Front porch is wonderful. Kitchen and bathroom are small add-ons to what really is a one-room cabin.
