"Reserved a king bed room, had to settle for 2 queen beds. Water was leaking through floor tiles, changed rooms. Room we agreed to had a big cobweb in corner of room and a lot of hair in bathroom. Staff was pleasant with what they have to work with. Would not recommend. "

"We loved the pool/ping pong table. We enjoyed a relaxing trip a bit off the grid, but close enough to Hutchinson for some entertainment and fun. Everyone was very nice. "

"We loved the Maxwell House! Our host was amazing, called to check in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was so cute, we felt at home the minute we walked in the front door. The living area was a comfortable and cozy place to hang out and visit. The kitchen was actually very well appointed, which was a plus to us as our college student wanted home cooked meals rather than eat out! We used the grill to cook steaks as well! The beds and pillows were so comfortable, obviously a lot of thought and care went into furnishing this perfect little house! I highly recommend this home if you are visiting your college student or just passing through. Go visit the downtown area on Main Street, so many cute shops! We had a great trip, enhanced by the very positive experience of having a wonderful place to 'come home' to! "

"Ridiculed at by the owner for having a service dog and told Ellie, my service dog, that she was sorry that I didn’t love her. Ellie is my protector and I love her as much as she loves me. The woman then wanted to charge me a Pet Fee, requested papers on my service dog and wouldn’t allow us to stay in the room we booked. ALL ILLEGAL UNDER THE ADA. I am not going to take action, but I hope the owner reads this. CONSEQUENCES OF ADA NON-COMPLIANCE FOR HOTELS. Financial Penalties and Lawsuits: Federal Fines: The Department of Justice can impose fines up to $75,000 for the first violation and $150,000 for subsequent violations. Private Lawsuits: Individuals can sue for violations, often leading to costly legal fees and settlements. ADA HOTEL RULES FOR SERVICE ANIMALS: Allowed Access: Service animals must be permitted to accompany their handlers in all areas of the hotel where the public is allowed, including dining areas, public restrooms, and guest rooms. NO “PET” FEES: Hotels cannot charge a "pet fee" or "cleaning fee" for a service animal, as they are not considered pets. However, if the animal causes damage, the guest can be charged for repairs. PROHIBITED QUESTIONS: Staff cannot ask about the person's disability, require medical documentation, or request a special ID card or training documentation. ROOM ASSIGNMENT: Hotels cannot isolate guests with service animals to specific, inferior rooms or, for example, a designated "pet-friendly" floor. "
