“Rooms are separate from the main building and so are quiet and private. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was very large. The staff are the owners and were very friendly and helpful. We had booked dinner and it was amazing although there is no choice of menu. There was a choice for breakfast which was freshly prepared and excellent. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.”

“Our stay was absolutely amazing! The spacious, clean, and refurbished room with a super comfortable bed was just what we needed. The full English breakfast had generous portions, and every meal was delicious. The staff were excellent, chatty, welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere was fantastic! We loved every minute and can't wait to stay again. Highly recommended! 🤩✨”

Unfortunately, same desk clerk told us hotel was in Dumfries which has a road with a similar which led u s to council housing at midnight. Once we discovered the error we have another 1 hour 15 minute ride to “hotel”. Upon arriving, key was in lockbox, room was large but beds were from the 19th century, incredibly……
