I booked this hotel two weeks before my arrival through this website. on my arrival date, they told me they have booking issue, so they are transfering me to another hotel. then the hotel i was transferred to isn't the same standard as the one i book, i wonder if hotel.com really did make it work....

There was no airport shuttle service…I was told to download the uber app! There wasn’t any food available when I arrived at 7pm as I was told there wasn’t a restaurant so I had to go to the local Tesco. So I’m not sure how breakfast could be served and I left too early to find out. The room was inexpensive and served a purpose for my travel to the airport.

Room was ok but surrounding outside looked derelict , rubbish all over , fly tipped sofa , pond full of litter , litter everywhere . Reception smelt damp , takeaway boxes and cans littering communal area , pile of dirty linen dumped on chair , all still there the next morning . Room was marginally better , but tired . No one on reception for check out or I would have pointed out the issues at the time .

On arrival we were put on the 4th floor lift was not working and we had to carry our luggage up the most horrible smell in the stair way. when we got to the room there were 2 single beds put together, and no running water in the bathroom, we were then put in a 2nd bedroom and that was the same no water!!!! By this time I was fuming staff were not very helpful and did not care we were put in a different bedroom after an hour of settling in it took about half an hour to run a bath the water was trickling!!!!! Then we were woken up to a loud bang the tv surrounding had come of the wall. Would not recommend this property at all to stay !!!!!😢 I think one star would be overrated for this place and for the price I have stayed in better quality for less

When we had entered the building there was a hand written sign on the door saying they were overbooked and to claim a refund. The side door was forced open by someone who had been waiting for 20 mins already. No staff was in the building, garbage was left on tables, and more people were coming in to a place with no help or answers. We were left with nowhere to sleep and it being too late to find another hotel due to the time waited trying to figure this situation out. Outside of this, the hotel is in a disgusting state with a foul smell and left like it’s been abandoned for years. This hotel should be shut down.

On the 4th-5th December 2025 I was pre booked into your establishment. Arriving after midnight following a stressful and lengthy journey I found a badly scrawled piece of torn paper greeting me on the hotel doorway. It informed me that due to overbookings, no rooms were available. I knew that in this modern age of high tec, this message simply couldn't be true and the only possible answer for the scrawled message was that it was a prank or poor joke stuck on the doorway. Heading inside to reception I found no sign of life. I hammered on office doors and still no employee came to assist. The longer I sought out any staff the more bewildering the whole episode became. I am well travelled across a career of over 50 years staying in hotels across the world. I have never in my whole life experienced anything that comes close to what I found in your hotel. I was too tired to risk getting back in the car to drive to a professional establishment and so decided to find a chair and attempt to sleep for a few hours to refresh myself. Firstly, I found a toilet next to the reception and stepped inside to relieve myself and wash up. As the light came on I was appalled to see the state of the room. Toilet paper littering the floor along with dust and filth. The toilet seat was covered in faeces and the toilet itself blocked. The smell in the room was hideous. Leaving the room I wandered round the downstairs area finding litter of allsorts and general garbage and dirt across the whole area.

There was never any staff around to help had to always wait 20mins for someone to come to reception, when checked in no lift working sent me to the 4th floor hotel was stinking of a weird vile stench, upon checking in to the room there was a used dirty towel hanging up in the cupboard cigarette ass all over the window ledg a fan covered in dust not working, the heating was off ff showered still the room we discusingly roasting complained to the receptionist they say they were I’ll send someone along and nobody ever appeared to the room to sort the issues out I would not even give 1 start for this

Arrived at the property at 8pm and was told there were no rooms available, the reason was not explained at all and i was turned away with no where to stay. at least 5 others were turned away in the 40 mins i was there finding alternative shelter. no contact whatsoever from the property before i got there or after and no help with a refund of any kind. would not reccomend

The ground floor rooms were fine, clean and showed signs of being refubished. However there were issues. I had to ask for tea bags and there was no water in the hot tap of the shower. The grounds and the rest of the hotel were in need of refubishment and care. There was no resturant which i new beforehand which turned out to be a problem for me (no cafes open Sunday morning and no eating places locally Saturday evening) but that was my fault. It would be helpful to know that when booking. The receptionist was on his 2nd day so was unable to have any local info.

I had the worst experience with my companion during our attempted check-in the other night.After a long and tiring journey, we arrived at the hotel expecting a clean and comfortable room. Unfortunately, what we encountered was completely unacceptable. Upon checking in, we were given our room key, only to find the room dirty, with an unmade bed, towels on the floor, and clear signs it had not been serviced. I immediately returned to the front desk and instead of receiving an apology or proper assistance, I was simply handed another key. To my surprise and disappointment, the second room was in the exact same condition—dirty, unprepared, and completely unfit for guests. I have never experienced anything like this in any hotel. What made the situation even worse was the unapologetic and indifferent attitude of the staff. There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused, no attempt to resolve the issue professionally, and no concern for our comfort. Due to the poor condition of the rooms and the staff’s lack of care, we had no choice but to leave the hotel and find alternative accommodation at that time, which was stressful and inconvenient.

Had paid in advance for a double room but they’d given them all away when I checked in at 7:30…..given a twin room and the window wouldn’t close, freezing cold and mould in the corridors….couldn't stay and handed back my key and left to find another hotel

I did not even stay. The car park was littered with rubbish, the reception had a smell. The hotel is VERY out dated and worn. The room Was clean but the rest of the hotel wasnt. As a woman on my own i didnt feel safe. When i left the receptionist wasnt surprised that i was leaving.. i booked a different hotel. Do not stay here. It should not be advertised on expedia.
