The only downside is we couldn't stay longer. Oh, and there was a burn ban, so we couldn't have a fire in the wonderful fire pit by the creek. Beautiful property in a beautiful location. Highly recommend, and hope to be back again for a longer stay.

Beautiful cabin in wimberly!

This place was perfect for our girls weekend! It was a beautiful, spacious, and homey cabin. There were so many amenities: the pool, a basketball court, lounge chairs by the fire, access to the lake. The location is a short walk into town, but would not recommend doing the walk after dark because the road leading into it is very poorly lit at night. We loved our stay so much that we all plan on renting it again with our families and children!

Perfect Getaway

We rented this gorgeous house as a Spring Break getaway and it was perfect. Very clean and within walking distance to the main shopping area. The home had everything we needed! Even though the water was still a little chilly, we really enjoyed the beautiful pool. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you to the owners and property manager for making our stay so enjoyable.

Amazing Race Mill Lodge!

Race Mill Lodge is a beautiful property, brimming with character and charm. We had an amazing time and the kids were spoilt for choice for activities. Can’t recommend this place highly enough - we loved it!

Wonderful time in Wimberly

We were looking forward to an in-Texas mini spring break getaway for our family. Mill Race Lodge was an excellent choice! It was a beautiful log cabin like house with all the amenities we needed. It’s close to everything in Wimberly and has a beautiful view backing up to the creek. We will come back when it’s warmer for some outside water fun and highly recommend this property. If I had a question I received a prompt reply. Couldn’t have had a better time!

The best family vacation we've had in a long time

Our stay at Mill Race Lodge was wonderful. The house is large and charming and sits on the grassy banks of a lovely stretch of Cypress Creek, shaded by live oaks and cypress trees. The house had everything needed for our family to relax, play, and swim. It was beautiful inside and out. We all loved it and highly recommend it.

Mill Race Magic

We were in Wimberly for a magical weekend to celebrate our daughters’s wedding to her fiancé. Our son and his family with two children stayed at Mill Race Lodge. We loved the game room and outdoor pool, trampoline for the kids. The adults especially enjoyed the beautiful art collection and the chefs kitchen and the feeling of a magical experience. Annual Guy Trip

Outstanding lodge, fine furniture, propane full, very clean and what was even better is the owner. He wants you to be happy and enjoy. Beautiful and well shaded backyard with lit concrete steps and side walk to and around the creek. Easy fishing and floating. Pool area is also nice and a great place to tan.

Relaxing Summer Fun

We had an amazing time at the Mill Race Lodge! Everything was as expected - in fact better than expected! It was a hot summer getaway and the creek levels were a little low given the drought, but no worries, the pool and home afforded all we needed to enjoy a lovely mix of the outdoors and A/C! Stargazing in the pool was a personal favorite, and the home was perfect for 3 sets of adults to have plenty of space on our own and then to come together for games, movies, and relaxing. Charles was great to communicate with and very accommodating, and I’d highly recommend this home! Thanks for everything, Charles!

Mill Race Staycation

We had a wonderful stay at this perfectly located property on Cypress Creek! The property is situated within two minutes of either the town square or the local HEB, and you're only 5-10 minutes from nearby breweries and wineries. The house has a great outdoor setting, with a fire pit and plenty of seating -- there's also a large table down by the creek to sip your morning coffee and ease into the day. The bedrooms are large and great for families old and young, and there's a large gameroom upstairs that has air hockey, foosball and a large TV. The best part is the pool out front that we spent a lot of time at! Even though the pool is out front, there is very little traffic on this street and so you have a sense of privacy anyway. Well-stocked kitchen and we took full advantage of both it and the grill outside. Recommend this place highly!

The location of the property was convenient for walking into town. The backyard facing the creek provided a nice environment to hang out throughout the day. The interior of the house was clean and cozy. I would recommend this VRBO to friends.

Great place to hang out with family

Gorgeous property in and out, plenty to do all around. From inside the property to outside. Will most definitely have your family entertained. The whole process was smooth very grateful for it as well since it was my 1st time ever getting a vacation rental
