The Firs is a recently renovated traditional Victorian Lakeland Residence, in the village of Bowness on Windermere.
We are just a few hundred metres from both the centre of Bowness, and the Ferries at Lake Windermere. Bowness has an abundance of restaurants, pubs and cocktail bars, and here at The Firs perfectly placed a short stroll from the hustle and bustle of the most vibrant Village in the Lake District. This characterful Lakeland property sleeps 10 and is set over 3 floors with five beautiful and spacious bedrooms, four with ensuites, and one with family shower room. Three Kingsize beds, and two zip-and-link Superking/Twin beds, the Firs can offer a variety of sleeping arrangements to suit your group.
At The Firs there is an abundance of living space to accommodate a party of 10. Choose between the stylish and luxurious Lounge, the comfortable and relaxed sitting room featuring piano, and the gorgeously sociable, large kitchen diner.
A large utility basement with laundry facilities is accessed from the kitchen through a secret bookcase door (shhhh), allowing you to clean and dry clothes out of sight and away from the living spaces.

The owner, and house manager are local and available every day, should there be any problems. We are available 24/7 for emergencies.
The vibrant and ever popular village of Bowness and the eastern shores of Lake Windermere are a few hundred metres from the door.
We have parking for 5 cars at the property. The property is also accessible by train to Windermere and bus to the centre of Bowness on Windermere. No Smoking No parties or events unless the owner has given permission. Please keep the noise down after 11.30 at night, and be considerate to our neighbours.
