The owners Greg and Angela were great hosts , available and accomodating . Spacious rooms in great condition and very clean . Great breakfasts at an extra cost but worth every penny .

Fabulous stay at the Westbourne. Friendly greeting from Sue and check in was quick. Room was excellent and had everything we needed. Location is perfect as you are no more than a 10 minute walk to the lake, restaurants, bars, and shopping, but hotel is on a quiet street in a good location. Breakfast in the morning was served by Andre and was really good. Would absolutely stay here again and would definitely recommend.

Perfect!

Sue and the team are so pleasant to be around. They do a superb job of making you feel as if you’re at home the breakfast is divine, hands-down, perfection. The character and charm of this hotel is perfect for somebody looking for an ideal landscape and atmosphere. I had a hard time leaving this hotel;)

2 night tour of the lakes

Just spent a wonderful 2 night stay here with my partner. Everything was amazing we stayed in room 1. A beautiful upstairs corner room with a lovely view and sun all afternoon. The room was spotless with a lovely comfy bed there was everything we needed and it was very quiet. The bathroom is a little snug if you’re a larger person but again spotless with a great shower. Breakfast was delicious and everyone who worked there so friendly and helpful. We met Sue one of the owners on the last day absolutely lovely lady. Perfect location a 6/7 min walk from the lake. Parking was easy and we were allowed to park from 11am and to leave the car til 1pm allowing us more time to explore. I would highly recommended and can’t wait to come and stay here again. Thank you for the perfect couple of days.

Excellent Hotel! My 3rd time in a year in the Lake District. It was a last minute booking and worth it. I was really impressed by my room. It was extremely comfortable and my hosts were very friendly. I think the Hotel was recently renovated too. My room had a new bathroom which was very nicely done. My bed was new too (very comfortable), I fell into a deep sleep. 👍 Nice new TV too and smart room layout design. I had a small room, yet a large bed! The room is smartly designed in a way I could put my large suitcase under the bed. Heating was great, water pressure. 👍 I would stay again. Great location too, close to Windermere restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops. Excellent stay. 10/10. A great deal of effort, research and hard work was put into guests needs and comfort by the Hotel hosts.

Nice staff, although weren’t flexible about cancelling or changing the reservation when asked. Area is nice and close to the town. Room and bathroom were nice. The bed was annoying for a couple, as it was supposed to be a superior double room but the bed was two single beds put together. The bed sheets were supposed to hold the two beds together, but it didn’t really work well. Sleeping together would mean one of you would end up sinking into the gap in between the two beds. Overall very clean, only the kettle needed a little re-clean upon arrival.

Beautiful room and very clean and comfortable. We were allowed to leave our car when we arrived early so we could go out and explore before coming back to check in. The staff were really friendly and overall we had a great stay.

Lovely stay at the Westbourne, we were attending a wedding in the Lakes and stayed for 2 nights. The en suite was spotless, comfortable bed and pillows. We had breakfast on the second morning which was great value and quality. Really is great value for money, with friendly staff and an easy check in experience. Would definitely recommend.

The hosts are wonderful. Friendly and helpful. They make a great breakfast. The facilities are very nice. The location is excellent. Within walking distance of the Bowness-On-Windermere high street but in a quiet area. I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

The property is located in a quiet peaceful area of bowness but within easy reach of all the bars ,shops and restaurants. The guest house features modern decorative rooms and safe parking. Hosts are welcoming and always available if needed. Returned to this property many times.
