This hotel outside appearance is uninspiring, however inside the bar & restaurant it is welcoming with a roaring fire lovely on a very cold day. Food is excellent, particularly the breakfast, with an interesting assortment. Our room was a good size & thankfully near the car park as when you access the hotel through the back door it is a route march to find reception.

Staff were all excellent and very welcoming. Food esp the breakfast was superb. Room was far to hot - had to have all windows open and radiators off - can not be good for the enviroment! Found a few (10 ish) clothes moths in the room, so had to hot wash all clothes on return home. This was reported and I would like feedback on the actions of the hotel

Absolutely lovely hotel. Great rooms and bar/ restaurant area. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The fact that there was a beautiful woodland walk from the hotel was a bonus. Will definitely be returning.

Great Stay with our dog

We had another wonderful overnight stay here and brought our dog this time. He was welcomed and there was even a dog goody bag in the room! All staff members were very polite and we were made to feel welcome.

Comfy, cosy and great food

Great stay, high quality food, comfy beds. Parking is additional cost £12 as is a dog staying £30, both we thought was high. We dined in the bar area, food was brilliant but think the lighting could be dimmed in the evening to create more ambiance.
