Lovely place , clean spacious , comfortable room, nice coffee in room.
Breakfast was excellent.
Easy and quick check in and out.
Right in the middle of Witney so really close to shops and cinema.
A good variety for breakfast options.
Location perfect spot as you are easily able to walk out to the shopping area. Bus stop located just outside for trip into Oxford.
Lighting in dining room is abit dim. Gives an effective look but for anyone with a visual impairment it makes it difficult to read menu etc. We enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a mini breakaway to attend a wedding locally.
Stayed recently with a couple of friends. Had the best weekend, great central location. 5star breakfast fantastic selection. Amazing staff, extremely friendly and welcoming. Booked up to stay again. Would definitely recommend.
Very quaint, great atmosphere being a pub downstairs with rooms above. It wasn’t noisy even on the weekend. We had a large room for 3. Breakfast choices were fabulous. The staff in the dining room were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely return to the Blue Boar.
We stayed here for the night as we were going to the Farmers Dog pub for dinner.
This is a great pub/restaurant with rooms. We were in the annexe across the court yard. Room was nice with plenty of space . Complimentary water, hot drinks, biscuits, shower toiletries and comfy top quality bedding. The only downside was the shower was a little awkward. Big waterfall shower but fitted a bit close to the taps so in order to be underneath it you had to stand right by the taps over the plug hole and it didn’t flow that fast. But we weren’t too bothered by that as only one night stay.
We sat in the bar and had drinks, staff were friendly and polite, nice atmosphere.
We had breakfast which was yummy with plenty of choice.
Overall a nice place to stay, would stay here again.
The Staff were helpful, efficient, and very friendly at all times. No request was too much for them. Made my Christmas stay a very pleasant, stress-free, experience.

Disliked: Staff & service
This is the first time of travelling both for business and pleasure over 40 years that I have felt the need to review so negatively.
Service at dinner and breakfast was painfully slow. This was not helped by the chef, in full view, who at breakfast, was more intent on bantering with his colleague than focusing on getting food out.. Not at all focused. Our breakfast took 35 minutes in what was a very quiet dining room at the time.
Poached eggs were appallingly over cooked for our avocado and eggs.
Room 17 smelt and felt damp. Very tired and in need of refurbishment at these prices.
Very overpriced based on service, quality and comfort. I'm sorry, I'm really unhappy about what we paid for our night away.
