“Staff were amazing on reception and a shout out to the male manager(?) next door at Beefeater! Excellent service! Room was sufficient for our needs the only thing that would be great would be a smart tv in the room!”

Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. “There is a reason this is a three star hotel. Despite some pleasant room decor and very helpful staff there are many things that let it down. Exterior is shoddy, rooms look over a busy road or a busy courtyard- both are noisy when windows are open in warm weather. Menu disappointing and limited - there was literally nothing that enticed me. There was also a lack of choice for vegan or even veggie options. Hoovering the bar and restaurant at 7:40am was so loud in our first floor room it may as……

“Kaye was communicative and lovely. Her home is a calming respite for busy travelers. The outdoor space is spacious and beautiful, with friendly horses nearby. The bed was a bit soft for us, but the room was very clean. My Way Guesthouse is a very good value.”

“No evening meal due to chef needing time off, staff seemed to have no idea what was happening. Only food available in the area was pizza at a hostel across the road. Breakfast room opened at 8:30 and consisted of help yourself Coco pops, croissants or toast, if you had an early start, nothing. Overall a very poor experience.”

“We booked the cottage and were so glad we did. The photos although good, don’t really do it justice. The bedroom opens out onto a spacious balcony with good quality wooden table and chairs. The view is very serene, as you can see the river. The hot tub is really amazing. It was very clean and we were shown how to use it properly. If anything it was a little hot at 40c. It kept this heat for several hours. Bathroom was beautiful. Living room immaculate. And a 2nd bathroom with toilet and shower.……

“Check in was quick and easy. Staff were helpful and polite, even moved me from a room in the inn to an annexe room so I could be away from noise from bar. Also had a very good breakfast which is extra but excellent value for money. Definitely recommend it hotel and breakfast.”
