Stayed here over memorial day weekend the cabin was very clean quiet and cozy full kitchen charcoal grill and fire pit i would rate 10 out of 10 definitely one ill be staying staying at again

Cabin in the woods was perfect

Great wooded lot in Wolverine with nice fire pit and cozy living space. While we were there we were able to visit Traverse City, Petoskey, Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, and Rogers City all in a reasonable distance drive. There’s a nice farm to table restaurant right up the road and it’s close to Gaylord and Indian River. Really nicely located for natural resources too. Highly recommended!

Lovely Cabin in the Woods.

Very comfortable stay. Immaculately clean and a comfortable King size bed. The house felt roomy. Loved the deck for morning coffee and evening relaxing.

Perfect getaway

This property was a perfect weekend getaway spot. It was just enough outside of town, but still easy to find. Everything was clean, and the fire pit was even set up for the first fire! The king bed was super comfy, and with the black-out curtains provided me amazing sleep every night. Would definitely stay here again!

Easily accessible while still so private

Such a beautiful location! Sadly a mostly rainy weekend but the house was so spacious we were still able to enjoy board games and the kids could run around without bothering the others.

Location is conveniently close to expressway, slightly off beaten path, but peaceful and quiet nonetheless! Cabin was exactly like pictures shown. Very spacious, clean, owner super responsive and check in/out process was a breeze! Thank you!

Great location

Great location. Host and house are great. We had a wedding in the area so this was the perfect solution. I can see us renting this again in the future. It was the perfect place for us. Thanks for being a great host.

The property is exactly what our family loves! Peacefulness in a secluded area. We were only 15 minutes away from our home away from home; Indian River! We had deer right out the back door in the morning while we drank coffee. We will be back!

Cabin stay

The cabin was the refectory size for the four of us. The only issue we had was it was very difficult to cool off the cabin. We were very warm even with all the fans going 24/7.

Very nice place!

This property is very clean and has everything you will need. The location is perfect for exploring upper Mich. Centrally located, it is private and quiet. Tyler is very accommodating and reply’s very timely. If you are planning a trip to Michigan I highly recommend Tyler’s place .

Another great trip!

Our family arrived for our second year at this home! The updates over last year were lovely, the house is clean, comfortable and a great home base for our off road adventures. The restaurants nearby were great, check out the thirsty sturgeon and the pizza place both were great! Fires at night were great for star gazing as well!

Anniversary Weekend

We stayed at Cabin in the Woods over our 45th Wedding Anniversary weekend. The location for us was perfect as my daughter and son-in-law own property a short distance from the cabin and along with our grandkids, were camping for the weekend. The cottage was clean and well stocked, could use a little bathroom updating but bedding and kitchen was very adequate. We would definately stay here again when in the area.

Great location for a northern Michigan getaway

The property is exactly like the pictures. It's about 30-45 minutes away from most of the cities in northern Michigan so it's a great place to stay if you want to visit a few different places. It was a very quiet and peaceful property that let us get away from the constant city lights and noises. It is close enough to I-75 that you still get cell phone signal if that is a concern.

Visiting with family

The house was very clean, well kept. Had a nice amount of amenities available to make a comfortable stay. Tyler and his significant other were lovely when we needed something. The home does not have A/C so we definitely utilized the fans a couple of days when it was warm. There are a couple of quirky little steps that tripped us up a couple of times, so be aware of those!

Weekend get away -just a quick drive to Mackinaw

Stayed here for 3 nights with the intent to visit Mackinaw City and area. It was an easy drive to Mackinaw. -My biggest thing when looking for places to stay is cleanliness and this place was very clean. -The check-in instructions were straightforward and thorough making it easy. -Beds and pillows were comfy - the DVD player and DVDs available were nice for the evening times when we were not out by the fire pit -rooms were spacious (we had an infant with us and had plenty of room around the pack n play) -if you want a quiet place away from the hustle bustle. This is it. Quiet, secluded area. Off dirt roads. Surrounded by nature. There are even DNR Elk viewing areas nearby. Although we unfortunately didn't see any elk! We did see deer by the house!

Rural house stay

Check-in was easy and overall the house was clean and organized. The only complaint we had was that the fans had to run at all times (it was hot, and no a/c). The fans were covered with dust. I removed the front of one of them and cleaned it off. We stayed here expecting to travel to different areas up north, which this location allowed for us to do. But it is in the middle of nowhere. Not close grocery stores, parks, etc. I would also say this house might not be suitable for children. Step downs between each room and a hot water heater right next to the toilet in the bathroom (also what made the house so hot) was not easy for beginning walkers or little hands.
