"The location was great! Minutes from Volcanoes National Park! Also it was close to some restaurants and gas! The place was spacious and had comfortable bedding. There was a heater for cooler nights! The coffee pod machine and fridge are such nice features!!!"

"Beautiful property. Very very nice inside and out. Quiet and comfortable. Very close to the volcano and restaurants. Wish we could have stayed an extra day. Spend a day and evening at the volcano and another down to the ocean and sites along the way. A great home base for an adventurous family, play hard all day and relax for the evening in comfort. We have been traveling for a week so the washer/dryer in the attached garage was timely. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here in the future.Thank you. Don and Catherine"

"This is an OK place if you're not looking for everything up to date and sleek. They provided breakfast fixing but we brought our own and left most of theirs untouched. The property is secluded and quiet as long as fellow travelers are quiet. nicely decorated and close to the National Park. a big plus"

"This unit is very special - it was, by far, the best of the three VRBOs we stayed in, during our two weeks in the islands. The location in the middle of the rain forest, is beautiful. The drive to Hawaii Volcanos NP takes less than 10 minutes. There are other houses along the road to the main highway, but the separation is such that there is no noise from other units. The living space is on the second floor, while the lower level provides covered parking. The unit has a very large combined living room/dining area/kitchen. All areas are well supplied. There is no central heating, but there are several local space heaters, including a propane "fireplace." The queen bed also has mattress heaters. The owners have labelled all appliances with thorough instructions, and included a multi-page notebook with information and instructions. There were 2 minor drawbacks: the road from the unit to the highway is in pretty poor shape, so one must drive 8-15 MPH for most of its length; the padlock on the gate to the property is difficult to open and close, especially if one has a little arthritis in one's hands. We would recommend that a better option be provided."

"This is truly a distinctive property- lovely inside and out. The lush backyard and gardens are unlike any other property we have enjoyed. The birdsong and night noises are enchanting. Proximity to Volcano National Park a huge bonus."

"Cute mom-and-pop property in a great location near Volcanoes National Park. It felt more like staying in a little house in the rainforest than a hotel. A little rustic, but in a good way. Hearing the birds and other animals at night made it really special. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!"
