The host village of Orford is brimming with history and natural beauty; guests can uncover its 12th-century castle to enjoy panoramic views or wander the banks of the River Ore, where ferries cross to Orford Ness and RSPB Havergate Island. Foodies will love the village’s dining scene, with a popular smokehouse, artisan bakeries and welcoming pubs all awaiting. Further afield, enjoy scenic walks through the national landscape where more nature reserves and winding rivers beckon adventure. Charming destinations nearby include Aldeburgh, Shingle Street, Bawdsey and the beach town of Felixstowe (all within 25 miles).
