「If you love nature, you will love The Canopy! We spotted a platypus on the first day and a cassowary on our way out! The birds are beautiful and the turtles plentiful. The staff were kind and helpful. They even built a fire for us on a cool day. Loved every minute of our time there. 」

「Wonderful place to retreat for a few days with beautiful walks on the property through tropical forest. If you like nature and seclusion this is the place for you. The rooms are well maintained, clean and comfortable with all the amenaties needed for self catering. There is however, no Wifi access in the room and telephone coverage is poor; so I would not recomend this for someone who needs to stay connected. Otherwise, no complaints and an enjoyable stay.」

「My husband and I had a fabulous time staying at Sally’s restored church. She is absolutely a gem of a host! Sally was very easy to communicate with before check in, gave us some sight seeing recommendations during our stay, and was easy to work with to coordinate check out. 「Amazing location for the family. 3 Generations were very comfortable and teenage kids were occupied with beach and pool activities. Not too far from Innisfail for supplies (20mins). 「I am first time user so didn't check things prior to staying. The washing machine and TV did not work. The back windows didn't have flyscreen so didn't try to open them. There was no fan or ac. The bore water although not the worst I have smelt still was strong smelling. I also was asked to dispose of my own rubbish. My fault to not check prior to booking. They are lovely people and I loved my stay with them. So very welcoming for myself and my dogs. The place is situated in a lovely spot.」
