The hotel is under renovation, so the hotel room we used is clean but everything outside the room is dusty and dirty.
On the day of check-in, I was told that there would be $100 deposit for incidentals and the money would be returned to my account at check-out.
I checked in on August 17th and checked out on the early morning of August 18th. The front desk person assured me at the time of my checking out that the $100 deposit will be returned to my credit card account. However, today is already August 23rd, and the $100 charge is still in my credit card account.
I stayed at a different La Quinta Inn just two months ago for a week. Like all other hotels, there was also a deposit then, but it was only a hold and was released upon check-out. No money was ever charged to my card.
I do not understand why this particular La Quinta Inn at Auburn, Massachusetts actually charged $100 to my card.
I called the hotel this morning and was told to wait for one or two more days for the money to show up in my credit card account. I hope this issue will be resolved then.
