Great little home!

This place was so enjoyable! Very quiet, great outdoor seating with fire pit, able to carefully access the beach, full kitchen and cable tv when the sun sets.

Great vacation at Sands End!

We loved everything about this lovely beach house. We felt like the owners really created a place that was comfortable and pleasing. Furniture was in great shape, amazing ocean view, probably the best supplied kitchen at any rental we've stayed at too. We are already planning our next trip. We highly recommend too.

Excellent retreat

The place felt like our own family beach house and after leaving we just want to book the same house again! The beach felt like it was reserved just for us, beautiful views and easy access for play. The house had everything one could need for a family vacation spot. Looking forward to returning to this little piece of joy we found 💕

Fantastic place to stay!

This home was exactly what we needed/wanted - right on the beach with easy access, amazing pictures windows, and a sweet sitting area outside with a fire pit. Plus - it’s just a super short drive into Yachats for great restaurants and any supplies we needed. The house was super clean and comfortable! We will definitely be back.

Quick but Quaint Stay on the Beautiful South Oregon Coast

We enjoyed a beautiful one night stay in paradise. The cottage was clean and offered a cozy ambiance for our family getaway. We loved the big windows overlooking the Pacific and easy beach access the property offered. Many memories were made during our short stay. We couldn’t recommend this property highly enough!

Beach in your backyard

Just a lawn separated the house from the beach. Lovely views throughout the open common area. Great outdoor sitting area with views and windscreen. The showers are small but adequate.

Nice little hidden getaway

A little hard to find, but a beautiful view and a nice little yard (a little prickly) for dogs that don’t love the sand. Doesn’t sleep more than five adults without additional using the regular couch as a bed.

Perfect Coastal Getaway with Stunning Ocean Views

I recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend stay at a beautiful ocean-view house on the coast. The beach access made it easy to enjoy the sand and surf. The house was impeccably maintained, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Although it was pet-friendly, our pets stayed home this time. My family and I had a fantastic time and look forward to returning. Highly recommend!

Great ocean view

It was wonderful to watch the beautiful ocean view from the comfortable living room furniture. We also enjoyed the direct access to the beach. There have been some nice updates made in the kitchen and main bathroom. Other parts of the home can use updating, especially the carpet.

Great little house right on the beach

This is a cozy little house with great views of the beach and ocean. You can walk right out the door to the beach. Home is very well stocked with dishes and cookware, that's always a bonus. Newer appliances. Home was clean when we arrived. Great location, a short drive up to Newport where you can visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium or go watch the sea lions in downtown Newport. Head south to Thor's Well, super fun at high tide! The beach at the house is all sand and not busy, even on a popular summer weekend. This is a great little beach house. We would rent this again. Just what we needed!

Glorious views. Quiet. Clean and comfortable house. My only suggestion is to provide instructions on his to lock the house when leaving for the day. It works be nice is the patio was enclosed so we copious let our dog out also. Otherwise we had a wonderful time. Thank you

Great View and Beach Access

Over all I was pleased. The house itself is a bit dated, but was extremely clean. They have all you need in the kitchen, solid plates, drinkware, utensils... not flimsy plastic or cheap silverware like a lot of other places. Very pleased with the kitchen set up and the main bathroom had nice linens, big towels. Heading to the beach is just across the lawn and down a small embankment. It "looks" rather sketchy and slippery, but it is more like solid hard clay. It was raining a lot, and it wasn't slippery = but it LOOKS slippery, I'd say just grab a walking stick and test it. I'm only giving a 4 because it was rainy and cold and the heat in the living/dining area was not working. There is an electric fireplace the blows heat, but it wont get the place over 65. The heat in all the other rooms work. So, if you are staying in the winter, this is something to ask them about. Great location, WIFI is good, great couch and furniture for relaxing and watching a movie.

Cabin needs some help

When we walked in side we were greated with a very strong smell. I have no doubt the location (right on the beach) and the fact it was all locked up on a hot day were the main contributing factors - it was however a little overwhelming. We opened all the windows and by the next morning the smell was not noticeable to any of us. The location was amazing! We got to walk on a nearly deserted beach for as far as we wanted. That was worth the cost of the night here. The carpet needs replacing or deep cleaning there were lots of stains. But with that said - I still left this place wishing I had more time to stay (my wife didn’t agree). It was comfortable with all necessary amenities. It is an old beachside residence. The driveway and yard is shared with an adjacent cabin. The access to the beach does require a little maneuvering on a 6' or so rocky decline but would be manageable for anyone who can walk unaided - with caution though. This place would benefit from new carpet, new furnishings, a fence between cabins and some steps or hand rail added for beach access. But then it would demand a higher price per night! Overall I was satisfied I got what I paid for and would definitely stay here again. The outdoor fire pit is very cool.

Five Stars for Pleasant, Pet-friendly Spot on the Beach

Despite a couple of minor shortcomings, I give it five stars for a clean, well-stocked pet-friendly spot on the beach. Anyone who lets dogs stay in their house is okay by me. The house was snug and comfortable when we arrived. Very well-stocked kitchen, except for the salt & pepper shakers, which might have been lurking somewhere, but we couldn’t find them. We bought a couple of throw-away ones, so you should be good for a few weeks anyway. The floors are now those gray wood laminate things that seem to be the rage these days, with a couple of area rugs here and there. Makes much more sense than the old carpet and are easier to keep clean (dog hair, sand, etc.). Nice towels, our bed was pretty firm and comfy (we prefer firm beds), covered parking was nice and the place stayed warm. A couple of minor (to us) things to note: it takes awhile for the hot water to get to the bathroom that’s just off the bedroom, so the bathroom by the front door might be better and is a little larger. Shower heads are kind of low, so better for shorter folks. Our Wi-Fi conked out the 2nd day we were there, and despite a couple of messages sent to try and fix it (“unplug the modem, wait a minute and plug it back in…”), Wi-Fi was never restored. It wasn’t that big a deal for us, but it might be for some. There’s also an xfinity phone booster in one of the bedrooms that didn’t seem to help my crappy xfinity phone, so I decided to change to T-Mobile like my wife uses - she had much better service than I. As others have mentioned, access to the beach is a little bit of a challenge. Most of the other houses on the beach have stairs down to the beach, so they would be a nice addition to this place. Watch your step and you should be okay (or maybe see if the neighbors will let you use their stairs). All in all, we had a great time and would come again. Cheers!

This is a really cute, cozy house just a few steps away from the beach and just a couple of miles away from shops and restaurants. The kitchen is fully stocked, and it has a nice patio area outside. The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again! The one thing I would point out is there is no fence if you have dogs, and it's right next to other houses, but you can block off the patio area with a dog fence, which is what we did.

Amazing Views

The place was a perfect choice for 45th anniversary getaway! The views were amazing with easy access for walks along the beach. The place was very clean and had all the supplies that we needed. Great location too. Close to Yachats and an easy drive to Newport and Florence.
