Tillicum Beach Motel (Deane's Oceanfront Lodge)

8/10 Good

"The property is well maintained for an older style property. There is a large outdoor space with picnic tables and a grill leading to the stairs to the beach. There were benches for watching the ocean and sunset if one didn’t want to use the stairs to get to the beach itself. The office had many games, books, and videos to borrow. Breakfast was donuts and fruit. The only negative was that the room was advertised as “ocean view”. While the far out ocean was truly visible from the room, the beach and waves were not visible due to the motel being one story and the distance of the outdoor space between the motel and the beach. Overall, it was nice and we would stay here again."

"The room was very cute and tastefully decorated. The kitchenette was well equipped. Access to the beach was excellent and one of the top points of this stay. This property is dog friendly so too many dogs for my taste. The exterior of the property needs a bit of a refresh. The breakfast while.not amazing was plentiful and had a decent variety. The staff when checking out seemed very disinterested in me even letting them know.we were departing the room."

"This resort is amazing! Perfectly located on the coast with easy access to nearby sites and points of interest. Our room was located on the ground floor with sliding doors leading to a small private patio with Adirondack chairs facing a walking path and the beautiful coastline for an amazing sunset view. The room was very large, comfortable, and had a small area with a microwave and fridge in addition to a vanity/sink and separate full bath/shower/toilet. The main lobby area was super comfortable and welcoming with beverages and bottles of wine to purchase. Breakfast was included and offered sweet, savory, and healthy options in addition to hot and cold beverages. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time at the Overleaf Lodge!"
