2 Beach Coastal Cottage

No need to choose which beach to go to in York. "2 Beach Coastal Cottage" is between both beaches! Charming cedar shingled cottage style house is a street away from Short Sands and walking distance from Long Sands Beach, you'll agree this house is the PERFECT LOCATION. This is a full sized stand alone 2 bedroom house (not a condo or part of a house). With all rooms on one floor, this is a great option for all. There is a small back yard where you can use the GAS Grill every night for easy meals on the outdoor table. And rinse off after the beach in new OUTDOOR Shower!

Large bright enclosed front porch welcomes you to this classic beach cottage where you have plenty of room to hang-out after and even have a bite to eat at the table for 6, before or after a great day at the beach.

Once inside, the blue and green colors of sea glass welcome you home every day when you step inside. The beach-themed living room with pull out couch (if a friend stops by), TV and WiFi is a great place to relax. On those rare crazy hot days, the AIR-CONDITIONER will help you cool off.

The coastal style dinning room with built-in china hutch can sit up to 6 for dinner. You'll enjoy the cool breeze of the ceiling fan as you enjoy you meals together.

Both bedrooms cheerfully painted with real wood floors! The Primary bedroom has a Queen size bed and the 2nd bedroom has a Full bed and Single bed.

This sunny kitchen also has a WASHING MACHINE and the mud room right beside it has the DRYER. The back entrance makes unloading groceries and going to the beach a breeze!

So close to the playgroup and the downtown shops and a few blocks from Long Sands Beach. Walking distance to Nubble Lighthouse. Just walk down the hill to enjoy all of downtown York Beach, with its bandstand, Ellis Park, playground, basketball courts, shops, and Goldenrod taffy!

We also have driveway parking for 2 cars.

We do NOT allow guests to bring pets regardless of size, fur/hair, training or age of pet. Thank you.

We also own a larger 3 bedroom house, next door, called "Best of Both Beaches" which are available too. Please ask for info and pictures if you are interested.

Winter Rentals (6 month minimum) available October-May, but does not include heat, Wifi, cable tv or snow removal. One month security required with 90+ day rental.

Property is just as described. Walk to beach was short and sweet. You end up on the less crowded end of Sands Beach which is amazing in itself. Sarah is such an amazing host. We were able to check in early and she checked in when we got there to be sure everything was just as we needed and had expected. She is a text away and you can tell wants your stay to be the beach get away you anticipated.

Short sands visit

Cottage is extremely convenient to access both beaches, especially walking to short sands. Easy walk for our 6 and 4yr olds at the end of a long beach day. Quiet property with everything together on one level. AC unit and fans were more than effective at keeping the cottage comfortable. Outdoor shower was fantastic for the whole family and screened in porch meant all the sand was easy to keep outside. Sarah was a stone’s throw away and immediately accessible.

Perfect location!

We loved our stay at Sarah’s cottage. It is in the perfect location, within walking distance to short AND long sands, and off the main road just enough to feel more private/quiet. We walked into town and to the beach every day, and it was so nice to be so close. The outdoor shower was great and a nice way to wash away all the sand after a day at the beach. The house felt roomier than I thought it would be. Plenty of space for us and the open layout was perfect for keeping an eye on our daughter while we cooked. We also really loved the front porch and ate most meals out there. Sarah was super responsive and easy to work with. We can’t wait to come back!

Great Location

Great location to both of the beaches. Just a short walk down the hill to the shops and restaurants. The cottage was charming and had all the amenities we needed. Sarah was great with communicating by phone but sadly we did’nt get to meet her. We would rent this cottage again.

Charming and comfortable beach house!

This cute beach house has great amenities and is within walking distance to the beach! The front porch is airy and comfortable. Loved the addition of the outdoor shower. The best part is that it is so close to the beach and downtown but tucked in just enough from the Main Street. Sarah was quick and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again.

Great location, great space

This location is great! We were able to walk to both Short Sands and Long Sands. The screened-in porch got a ton of use. Traffic could get a little loud (motorcycles in the summer) but overall we were very happy with this house and landlord.

Wonderful stay

GREAT LOCATION!

We had a great time at Short Sands Beach which we walked to daily along with fun walks to The Goldenrod for salt water taffy! The location of this cottage is great for a beach getaway in Maine! It was a good size for my family of four. We spent most of our time in the screened in front room and were very lucky with the weather during our stay - 80s and sunny!

A great place to stay that's close to the beach.

I have stayed in York several times but always at a motel. This year because of the Covid-19 virus I decided to rent a house. The house was clean, comfortable and close to the beach. Sarah contacted me several days before my trip and sent a welcome booklet and list what I should pack and places that she and her family liked to visit while in town. I really enjoyed my stay. She also checked in with once I arrived to make sure everything was as I expected it to be and it was. I would definitely recommend this property.

Great house, perfect location!

I have been coming to York Beach since I was a child. This house is in a great location, a short walk to Short Sands beach, the Nubble Lighthouse, and the Goldenrod. It was the perfect size for the 4 of us (2 adults & 2 children (ages 10 & 6). The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The house was very clean and well-maintained. The owners were very helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful memories at York Beach - great house and location!

We stayed in York at this property August 2019, we are a family of 4 with two kids ages 10 and 11. What a wonderful vacation. First off, Sarah was excellent with communication from the moment I booked, when we arrived, while there and when we left. Couldn't be more pleased with that. It's always a little nerve-wracking when renting, so nice to have someone so attentive. The house was perfect for a family our size! Big enough that we had our own space and didn't feel on top of each other but a nice, cozy cottage feel. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer was a HUGE bonus. We used the grill and little outside area too. Honestly, my favorite part of the whole house was the front screened-in porch, it was nice and roomy. I had my coffee out there every morning, so peaceful and we spent a lot of time out there after the beach and in the evenings. As far as location, you can't beat it! We were close to everything. We only took the car out once for a day trip and other than that we walked or rode bikes. I recommend a bike ride to Nubble, down Long sands and then shorts especially first thing in the morning, gorgeous. Being so close to both Short and Long Sands was really nice. We did both beaches! I would definitely rent from Sarah again. Thanks again!

Wonderful Stay

Stayed at this cozy cottage for a few months and very much enjoyed my stay. Short Sands beach is just a short walk away and the nubble lighthouse is about a mile walk. The property is conveniently located close to the village shops, restaurants and groceries. Its only a few minute drive to Ogunquit and the Marginal Way area as well. The house was clean and comfortable. The owners were fantastic and took excellent care of me and made sure the house was ready upon arrival. I highly recommend the cottage especially for the summer months.
