A nice, clean hotel close to York city centre. Had everything we needed for a short break. Good breakfast and reasonably priced.

Great hotel and right next to the old city walls. Parking was limited, so we parked at a Greggs about 400 metres/400 yards away.

Only word of warning is the parking charge - run by external provider, you’re supposed to get 45 min grace period but if you go to the kiosk it charges you immediately (£16 for 22 mins!)

- staff were not clear if the payment was made or not resulting in for us to stay there for 15 min until someone senior arrived to help us with. - Car park really tight and we had to cross the road to find parking spaces - hot water tap on the shower was uncontrollable - less towels available for the number of users
