"This accommodation is mixed good and bad. There are a few things that I was very happy with! It is only about a 5 minute walk from Yugawara JR station, the room itself was very nice (we booked a traditional Japanese style room) and in it there were hot water facilities for tea, private bathroom, AC and TV. The onsen is obviously brand new and is a very high standard. There is the option for private onsen which costs about 2800 yen for a 45 minute session and I would recommend it! There are a few...

"Impeccable service by the friendly staff who went above and beyond our expectations. Delicious food. Beautiful setting. After 2 weeks travelling in Japan we had a very relaxing 2 nights stay at Ryokan Shiori. They suggested a hike up the near by Mt. Makuyama - and drove and collected us there. The beds were so comfortable. The views are beautiful and took our breath away! We would go back in a heartbeat! "
