"We chose this hotel because the location was perfect. It’s about in the middle of the Nanjing Road pedestrian area. The hop-on-hop-off bus has a stop immediately adjacent to the hotel, and another just a couple blocks away. The lobby is on the second floor. You can walk up a steep flight of stairs on Nanjing Road or you can walk into the attached garage and take an elevator to the lobby. Our room was not very large, but adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable and the shower was quite good with consistent temperature and strong spray. Like most China hotels, bottled water is provided for free. If you need more, they will bring it to your room. The buffet breakfast was good and had windows looking out over Nanjing Road. It was a good environment. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay."

"Very nice hotel that upheld the Mariott standards. The hotel and rooms are very clean. It is in a very good location, across from the New World shopping center with plenty of shops and food options. It s also connected to a Luckin coffee and McDonalds that we frequented a lot for that morning coffee and late night snack. It is also a very short walk to the Nanjing pedestrian road (west side). The swimming pool is also very nice with a big hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially a lady by the name of Grace Song. She took care of us during our 1st leg stay in Shanghai with setting up wheelchairs for my parents. She gave us her WeChat and we were able to personally get through to her to help with logistics for our 2nd leg stay after visiting other cities. When we check in, the wheelchairs were already reserved for us. She also helped us get approval for free breakfast due to having to wait for some of the rooms to be available. She also helped us track down and deliver some forgotten items that were shipped from our previous hotel. She even went as far as helping us with some local currency deposit into our WeChat pay when our international credit cards didn't go through!"
