"My room was as pictured and had lots of rattan style furnishing, which gave the room a traditional feel. Modern conveniences include a safe, a fridge, fan, AC, a rattan rack, shelves and a low rattan chair. Although there was no desk to work on The bed had a large mosquito net, which is a necessity. The mattress slightly softer that a typical Asian style mattress, but still very comfortable. As the weather is cooler in Nong Khai, I managed to sleep with only the fan, even with the thick mattress. The rest of the property is pretty, with a nice restaurant set in a garden courtyard. The menu has a large selection of vegetarian options. Location wise, the guesthouse is right in the heart of touristy Nong Khai. With everything within walking distance. Mut Mee also rents out bicycles for anything further afield. Overall, I had a great stay. The staff are welcoming, helpful, well trained and efficient even by high Thai standards. The staff and hotel website provide lots of information about things to do in Nong Khai too."

"The first room that I was given had dirty walls, mould in the shower and the air con did not work (314). I asked for a new room and it was completely different, renovated clean bathroom with good air con (416). So there seems to be some inconsistencies in rooms. The staff were very accommodating when I asked for a new room. "

"After driving 6 hours from 10am to 4pm, from Buriram Province to Udon Thani, we checked in this hotel then drove another hour to take our adult son to Nong Kai. On return at 6pm we were very hungry for a nice dinner and wine in the hotel restaurant but were denied entry by staff. My Thai wife and I were told by staff in Thai that the restaurant was reserved. The bar had only a few people who were drinking, not eating, and the restaurant just a few customers. We were devastated after paying $AUD545 (over 12,000THB) for 1 night in the 2 bedroom Presidential Suite as VIP guests but denied a restaurant table even though they were advertising a superb menu. So, we had to get a cheap meal at a nearby street takeaway café. We noticed at 6pm about 4 customers in the hotel restaurant, at 6:30pm only 5 people, and at 7:45pm only 5 people. Almost an empty restaurant, with enough room for 50 customers. We were very angry so retired to our room at 8pm. We did not sleep well nor use much in our room. The wifi did not work for us after trying many times, and the shower next morning went hot, cold, hot, cold. We left next morning unhappy and early, for another 6 hour drive back to Buriram Province. I am farang and my wife is Thai and we have stayed in very many 4 and 5 star hotels all over Thailand the past 12 years, and never experienced this at any of them. Even though the hotel is extremely beautiful and luxurious, as was our room, we were left with very bad memories of our stay."

"We booked 4 rooms they only allowed three rooms because on of the room was for travel monk. We wanted to canceled all of 4 rooms but they wouldn’t let us do that at the end the monk had to look for the place to stay by himself. The charge was paid with cc they also would not refund back to the cc. "
