“We truly felt like we were in the heart of the jungle, with all the positives you would expect that to bring, and a few negatives too. The sights and sounds of the wildlife are inescapable and breathtaking, with memorable views particularly at sun up or sun down. Some of the facilities are at the mercy of the elements, with ‘outdoor feeling’ shower and bathroom. There were very minor communication difficulties around the breakfast ordering. “Our hotel overbooked the rooms and when we arrived told us there were no rooms available for us. They offered us a room at a nearby hotel instead, and dropped us off. The room at this hotel was filthy and located at a noisy trucker gas station on the highway. We even contacted the hotel 2 days before our arrival to confirm and they said nothing about being overbooked, so this was a stressful shock when we arrived. Absolutely would not recommend booking with Barandbed URT, or the hotel down……
