“I had an amazing stay here during my five-week Oceania trip. My first night was unexpected—I needed an ambulance to the local hospital after a fall on the ferry—but the staff at Bay Vista were incredibly attentive throughout the whole ordeal. They checked on me during the ambulance visit and followed up the next day to make sure I was doing okay (four sutures along my hairline). A special shout-out to Maddie, who was exceptionally caring and checked on me several times. The location is……

“This place is a gem. Located across the street from Intercity bus, next door from the train station and 50m away from the ferry terminal, the location couldn't be better! There weren't a lot of people when I stayed and instead of cramming everyone in a single dorm, they let each guest have an entire dorm. I appreciated the gesture very much. Moreover they provide towels (not common in NZ unfortunately) and there is breakfast available and included. I highly recommend this place”
