“Overall, great accommodation. Nice place to stay. However, unfortunately we came on a day they had a power issue. We checked in before 1700. After a long flight, with no power, we had no hot water to shower, no lights to see in the room, unable to watch tv, and unable to plug in our devices. The staff was apologetic. We were able to shower at their sister hotel at 2200 after inquiry. Power finally back on at 2300. We moved rooms the following day for our separate booking. Although the staff……

“I was deeply disappointed and upset to discover that the 9 Barracks Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa, prohibits guests from visiting my room after 8pm. Before making my reservation, I carefully reviewed the house rules and terms and conditions, yet there was no mention of this restriction. Had I known, I certainly would not have booked. As a 61-year-old traveler, I was looking forward to spending quality time with my girlfriend, who lives in Cape Town, but I was not allowed to have her stay in……

“Cannot stress enough how UNBELIEVABLY friendly AND efficient owner Eddie is...he replied instantly to my WhatsApp after 5pm, was involved, helpful and polite and answered every question without bitterness, resentment or impatience. This is a FAR cry from what passes for "customer so-called service" in this city. But my best part was seeing him outside the venue on arrival..he was waiting for my Uber!! And he didn't flinch to help with luggage...room was perfectly acceptable with a fan(yay!),……

“firstly communication was not clear because when I get the guesthouse the person who was assisting me told me that I'm supposed to be in Strand but the direction that I got was for Somerset. I was so confused but assisted me because there was a room that was free in that site. very thing is perfect very apartment is very nit and clean. ”
