“Lovely place to stay. Staff very friendly. Only one downside parking seemed to be a problem if too many guests with cars, you would have to park on the street. Overall a lovely experience.”

“Liked all the extras like iron/fan/hairdryer. Liked having the desk/mirrors for getting ready. Lighting good and good storage. Paintwork/radiators needing touching up and pillows could do with changing/protectors. Breakfast very good”

“Very nice and no complaints. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the cooked breakfast this morning. The veggie sausage seemed cold in the middle, and the mushrooms still had the outer layer of skin on which made them seem tough to eat. The tomatoes seemed dry as if they had been standing for a while. Still, I enjoyed the hash browns and the baked beans. All other breakfasts on previous days had been fine. “Great welcome from our lovely host, and sad that we had to rush back home, could have stayed a few more days. If you want a nice friendly atmosphere and lovely cooked breakfast, then Gable End is the place to stay. The owner made us feel very much at home, and we shall call again most certainly soon. Breakfast was cooked and served by a lovely man who did not keep us waiting and served us as you would expect from a good hotel. Room was nice, new carpet laid down and comfy bed, nice view of the……
