“rooms were great front desk and shuttle drivers were great especially Mark....one mishap...a member of our party fell in the atrium dining area because a step down was not marked...she sprained her ankle...we spoke to staff about a warning on both steps (I didn't know she had fallen and after dinner I warned my daughter to be careful because of the way the tiles were it was a bit of an optical illusion...other than that it was great”

“Property is very convenient to the University of Virginia and in a quiet and pretty neighborhood. Staff is extremely helpful and there’s a nice bar, quiet and beautiful swimming area, and cafe on the property. Rooms are a little dated and fairly sparse. Would have given five stars if not for the rooms.”

“We just enjoyed the best two nights here! We loved learning about the history of the Inn and the place is so well preserved. The innkeeper and chef were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was so delicious both mornings. The location was great as well. Almost everywhere we wanted to go regardless of the direction was 15-20 minutes away. There was an amazing pizza place right around the corner that we would definitely suggest going to. We highly recommend this inn and will surely be……

“Huge well appointed room. Incredible breakfast. Host was very accommodating to guest needs, as many of us had to be up early for UVA graduation. She made to-go breakfasts for everyone with fresh muffins, yogurt, fresh cut fruit. Lovely overall experience. Nice not to be in the center of town near Grounds. Very easy access when you do.”

“Sleeping quarters great, husband had to shovel snow on spa deck and porch. Spa cover was broken and hard to put on and off. Hole in LR couch, tried to keep covered with a pillow. Very convenient to lodge, kitchen very adequate for meals, we all had a great weekend!! Would definitely recommend for rental!”
