“What a gem of a place. Perfect stay”

“Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.”

“This was a great stay for our family. Two adults and 3 kids (two teens and a preteen) fit comfortably in one of the larger rooms. The rooms were simple, but clean and a great base for exploring the Lake District. Staff was very friendly and Breakfast was wonderful! ”

“Serious problem on phone when trying to enter the building due to the lady on line unable to explane that the room key and front door keys were in the lock box. I discussed this with the manager the following day and he accepted that the lady did have problems in explaining things. Note that anyone arriving without an operating telephone would not be able to get the code for the lock box!!! ”

“The owners were amazing very good hosts. The room was very clean and very well kept. There was a choice of breakfast options, i went with the full cooked option. The food was obviously high quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The area around the guest house was very quiet and peaceful at night. I will recommend and stay here again”
