“The front desk staff was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The TV was very small, with no connection to streaming services. The walls were very thin and we could hear neighbours. The air conditioner was extremely loud and jolted us awake through the night. We wanted the air conditioner on due to a slight smell of cigarettes in the room and neither of us are smokers. The bathroom was very small, I barely had room to turn around in it. The breakfast buffet had basics however some fresh fruit……

“The August House was a truly wonderful place to stay! It's clearly a carefully curated environment with comfort and relaxation in mind. The room was incredible comfortable, the staff was lovely and the included breakfast was delicious! We will certainly be back next time we are in the area!”

“My husband and I stayed here and had a great time! The place was very clean and the host was very responsive with any questions we had and made check in very easy and smooth! We definitely plan on going back if we’re in the area!”

“Overall we were dissatisfied with our stay. Although the dome was cute, we quickly ran out of propane heat and had to add another tank. Also, the next morning we ran out of water. Upon informing the manager, we did get an apology and nothing more. Safety was also a concern. There were solar powered outdoor lights that quickly went out after dark! We won’t stay here again. ”

“Beautiful property on a quiet lane. Big comfortable bed in a compact but tidy room. Many options for relaxed seating in common areas. The hosts were welcoming and hospitable, recommending a delicious restaurant around the corner ( Bitars). When our room was a little warm, the host quickly provided a fan for our comfort. Easy access to the airport for our morning flight home. For light sleepers, note that there is an active train track nearby with occasional trains during the night.”
