“I am a frequent traveller to Uganda, as I work in the travel industry. I rarely ever write reviews. I have stayed at the Latitude many times since it opened. What was once my favourite, and the best hotel in Kampala, has now become tired and very run down. Management has made unfortunate decisions with the layout - the buildings and pool areas look tired, unreliable wifi in common areas, and the staff could use some encouragement as they are not engaged. “The property is truly beautiful. The place is tastefully decorated and the rooms were very clean. Personally, i slept like a baby. The hotel is located near Makerere University. The staff were very friendly and the chef made it a point talk to us and find out how we like the food. ”

“Reception staff were very friendly and courteous. Wait staff, although there always many around, paid little attention to customers. Food quality was okay, but key items (like cheese) were sometimes unavailable making many dishes unavailable. Food and drinks were delivered exceedingly slowly. Getting a Coke Zero & burger for dinner was a two hour event. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, but there were only two bath towels and no hand towels. When I asked for one I was given a washcloth……
