“My husband and I loved our stay at the Carr Mansion! This historical home was charming, clean, and comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. “THINK TWICE! Check-in process was the most complicated process we’ve ever encountered, and you need 3 different mobile applications to complete check in, registration and accessing the unit. Parking situation is ridiculous, cleanliness is average. The only pluses, proximity to NASA Space Center and the swimming pool. “Designated parking spot right in front of unit… very convenient. Accurate description of the property and it was very clean. Overall Galveston is not the nicest area but we felt safe here and it was a short drive to the beach. Would definitely stay here again. I would recommend bringing sheets for the pull out sofa if you need it… I’m not sure there were any. Also very convenient to have laundry in the unit. Newer washer/dryer…worked great. ”
