"A breathtaking, five-star experience in the heart of Sidemen Our stay at Samanvaya was absolutely magical from beginning to end. Nestled in the peaceful beauty of Sidemen, surrounded by jungle, rice fields, and mountain air, the entire property felt like a sanctuary. It was luxurious, intimate, romantic, and deeply connected to the natural beauty of Bali. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and cared for. The service was warm, thoughtful, and effortless, and every detail of the resort felt intentional. Our room was beautiful and peaceful, the grounds were stunning, and the whole atmosphere invited us to slow down, breathe, and fully receive the beauty around us. The food was truly spectacular — fresh, flavorful, creative, and beautifully presented. Breakfasts were a highlight every morning, and the restaurant quickly became one of our favorite parts of the stay. We also loved the yoga shala, the peaceful pool, and the way the resort made it so easy to relax, reconnect, and feel completely immersed in the magic of Sidemen. Samanvaya was one of the most special places we stayed in Bali. It felt like a romantic jungle retreat, a wellness sanctuary, and a dream escape all in one. We left feeling restored, inspired, and so grateful for the experience. We cannot recommend Samanvaya enough. It was absolutely five stars in every way."

"What a gem! From the initial communication/questions to the staff (Putu and Made were amazing) to the Villa, which was stunning, we had a great trip. Martha was quick with answers and suggestions. The view and the sound of the river & birds were as advertised and so calming. Even the times when it rained, the open house protected us while keeping us close to nature (and the AC in the bedrooms kept us cool at night). Putu did the airport runs, as well as the tours, shopping, etc. His knowledge of Bali is deep and the time with him was a highlight. He helped with setting up massages as well which we all truly enjoyed!Honestly, hanging out in the pool with a Bintang was my happy place on this trip. The pictures don’t do it justice. Hearing the river below, watching the Balinese Kingfishers flying around…We would not go back to Ubud if we could not book this Villa. It was that nice. Thank you to Martha & Putu for such a wonderful experience."

"This is a fantastic experience, especially if visiting with children. We had a one-night stay in the Mara Safari Hotel, which was a stopover before moving onto Sanur. Unfortunately the rooms are incredibly tired and would benefit from a major refurbishment / freshen up. The food at the restaurant was great; however when it came to ordering dessert, almost all options were not available despite the hotel being very quiet. This was disappointing."

"Hotel was beautiful and the staff were amazing. Pool was nice and had a great view. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The location is a bit far from town but they had a free shuttle so we didn’t mind. "

"Nice hotel and really friendly staff. However, Expedia listing said the villa would have a pool and a 'private hot tub'. I found the pool...hard to miss! When I asked where the hot tub was, I was told that the 'private hot tub' was actually just the bath in the bathroom which came with both cold and hot tap and was just for our use! I told them that a bath in the bathroom was not the same as a private hot tub but apparently Expedia had the wrong description as there are no hot tubs at any of the villas. I was also a little disappointed that the villa pool was not the infinity type as pictured on Expedia. The villa was described as 'valley view'. This is absolutely correct ie do not expect to see the river as you cannot, just the valley. "

"The villas had a peaceful and opulent feel, with beautiful natural quiet surroundings. The staff were lovely and did everything needed. Location from the centre of Ubud is a little out, but worth it for the serenity you get that downtown Ubud now no longer has. Great for couples."
