I usually stay here when I come to Abu Dhabi because I love Swiss Butter and the guy selling the fragrances is awesome. However, this was my last time patronizing this establishment.
Check in is slow. They have no urgency. When you call the front desk, it just rings. It takes you approximately five times trying. I had to call housekeeping to get in touch with a manager. They promosed someone would call me back in 5 minutes and they didn't. While trying to sleep, after my 2.5 hour drive, they were doing construction in the room beside me. Apparently, they didn't communicate with the font desk. I called several times and kept the phone ringing & when no one returned my call to address my concern, i walked to the front desk. By the time I got to the front desk, someone answered. They refused to transfer the call to a manager, promising someone would call back. I told her that I wasn't playing that game again and I was at the front desk. Suddenly, she was "apologetic". However, what made me angry is that NO CUSTOMERS were at the front desk, so they could've answered the phone. It shouldn't take me getting MAD, INCONVENIENED, and confronting the situation at the desk to get my concerns handled. Customer service sure has declined. If you can't handle customer service, find ANOTHER position. Between the carpet bug from one visit that I forgave and LACKLUSTER, NONCHALANT approach, you've lost a customer.
