"We chose this hotel because we wanted
1. On site restaurant so no need to go out at night for a meal.
2. Guest laundry facilities where we could do our own washing. We travel light so need to wash clothes every few days.
On arrival the restaurant was closed - only open at weekends. We were not informed of this on booking.
On 2nd day Sid refused access to laundry after 7pm as"guests want to sleep".
This was hugely inconvenient and unnesessary. Rooms are advertised as soundproof and Manager Mark told us next day that laundy is available 9am to 9pm.
On day 2 tv did not work . Av connection needed resetting. No in room instruction. Front desk said someone would sort. Sid was asked when no one came and denied he had offerred assistance.
Rooftop garden is a hotel feature.Access was not allowed on first morning due to function but when we saw the garden later it is overhyped. Very small and only with views of other high rise blocks.
On the whole staff were helpful, with the exception of Sid who was deliberately obstructive.
Hotel failed to deliver on benefits it claimed to provide as outlined above"
