「Clean and comfortable. Not too expensive. Location, location, location! Convenient to everything you're likely to want to do in Ticonderoga. The pool and hot tub are nice amenities. If they have a gym, I didn't see it. Perhaps it's on the second floor? Breakfast is included; and it's really pretty good. My companion noted that the egg omelets all seemed to include cheese. I guess if you're lactose intolerant that could be an issue- probably the hot foods should be labeled. The restaurant / bar...

「This is a great place to stay. It has a hunting lodge ambiance but with all the modern amenities. Beautiful scenery with Lake Placid very close. We had a deluxe suite with a private patio which we were impressed with. Staff are excellent, friendly and attentive. Overall, the building and grounds are very well kept. Great for couples and for young families.」

「My stay at trailhead was definitely interesting. This is a contactless hotel. When you arrive there’s no desk to check in. You are not given any room keys, instead you are emailed a code and a room number, and you go to the door of your room and punch that number in to enter- sort of like a reverse escape room situation. There’s no one staffing the hotel to answer questions. instead, they leave a phone number that you can call in the lobby. This in and of itself might not be a problem, except...

「I expected a separate room since it was a suite, but it was very large and worked well. We had a small dog and we were close to the stairs which worked out great.」
