Afton Mountain Vineyards Guest House is the perfect way to celebrate a romantic weekend or a relaxing getaway!   This two bedroom, two bath cottage is located in the heart of a beautiful mountain vineyard. The views that surround this property are breathtaking.  Situated on the sunrise side of Afton Mountain, this property sits at 1000 feet in elevation.   Enjoy sprawling views of grapevines out your back door and the panoramic mountain view that surrounds them.  Please note that the Guest House is located near the Tasting Room.

The property's kitchen is perfectly set up for those wanting to prepare the weekend meals.  Equipped with a gas range and stainless steel appliances, this newly renovated kitchen has all the amenities you will need.  The kitchen island is beautiful piece made from a stone from Madagascar called "Big Blue," and it really shines at night.   Want to take your meal and dine al fresco?  The outdoor patio has a table and outdoor seating for four!  However, your favorite room in the house may very well be the screened in porch with its stunning views.  Here you can sit and sip your morning coffee or evening glass of wine made from the grapes off the vines that fill your view.

The Queen sized master bedroom has its own en suite bath.  The master bath has a marble, double sink vanity, tiled walk in shower, and a deep tub perfect for a relaxing soak!   The second bedroom is located on the terrace level and features a queen bed and en suite bath as well.

One of the biggest amenities is just steps from your front door.  Stroll on over to the Vineyard's tasting room where their knowledgeable staff can tell you about their assortment of wines that they make on site.  Afton Mountain Vineyards is one of Virginia's first farm wineries. The original vines were planted in 1978.  Those blocks are still in production today, and they now grow a total of 15 varieties on 24 acres. Afton Mountain Vineyard's Tasting Pavilion is only open Thursday through Sunday.

Cleanliness issue
Beautiful and super comfortable property with everything we needed for our business planning retreat! Called the property manager to alert them to issue with stains on the sheets in the master bedroom as well as hair on the wall of the shower. No one ever came by to clean/change sheets for those issues. Still waiting to hear back from property manager with how issue will be resolved.

Great house in a beautiful location
This house is very pretty and right on the Afton vineyard property. However, the house needs a lot of maintenace to bring it up to the price point paid for this property. The list was long but we worked around it.

Great Place
This was clearly built by and for the owners of the vineyard. So its a nice place. Bedroom great, livingroom great, kitchen great. Weather was cold but great porch and sunroom. Views great. Opportunity for improvement: Shower room is cold, waterflow sad with the water restricters (blame Al Gore) and they need a 12" skillet, all the had were tiny 6" skillets. Bring your own space heater for the bathroom, it will make much more pleasurable. Otherwise , place is perfect. Will come again.

Exactly as portrayed! Beautiful property for a great getaway to Virginia wine country! Wonderful Master en suite. Thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch for coffee in the morning and happy hour at night. Fully stocked kitchen. Great internet connectivity for a very secluded venue! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Had a wonderful stay! Four of us for four days. Beautiful vineyard out your window, a huge tub for relaxing, and a very easy check-in / check-out process. The kitchen had a wide variety of kitchen implements which was nice for us cooks. Thank you for a great experience.

Great location outside of town but not to far from any needs. Taste of rural Virginia living. Loved the screened patio spent mornings and evenings vineyard, lake and starry sky views.

Attention to detail, and well kept.
We had a wonderful stay at the Afton Mountain guest house just after Christmas this year. The property was very clean and we enjoyed the many nice amenities of the home. It was a perfect home base for us as we explored nearby wineries and Charlottesville attractions.
