The Ash House is a modern cabin located on Route 151 in Nelson County, close to Wintergreen Resort, Shenandoah National Park, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, and so many of your favorite wineries and breweries. This is the perfect house for couples or families looking to get away, but not too far away from all the local hot spots.
Before entering the Ash House, you are welcomed by an idyllic front porch to soak in the mountain views. After entering, you will find a modern bathroom directly next to a queen bedroom on the left side of the house. To the right, you will enter the great room, with high vaulted ceilings, a cozy fireplace, and open concept kitchen, offering plenty of light and more mountain views. Off the living area is a queen bedroom and a bunk room that includes 2 bunk beds (4 twin beds). These two rooms are connected by a jack-n-jill bathroom with a double sink and bathtub. Lastly, the back door takes you to a patio, where you can take in the scenery while grilling, or sitting back in an Adirondack chair, keeping the grill master company! Cap off the evening next to the fire pit, staring up at the stars.
You will have access to the entire property.
In the heart of the 151 Brew Trail. Breweries, wineries, cideries, distilleries, and any other `ies` you can think of! Not your scene? Then enjoy skiing, hiking, or driving for amazing vistas of the Blue Ridge mountains.
Personal vehicle is the best way to get around. Unfortunately, public transportation is spotty at best.
The driveway is paved, guided by lights, and steep. Your first time up, you might think, `whoa, this is a little steep.` The next time, `hmm, not so bad.` The third time, `I got this, no problem.` The fourth time... never mind, you get the point!
