Every little kitchen amenity you need to cook or bake, complete with coffee bar. Please note - Food storage space is limited for longer stay (we stayed 9 days) so use your big cooler. We grilled and ate in all week. You’ll also love the fun retro vibe. So fun! Clean laundry room with deep sink, potty and sport equipment storage was super handy. The grounds were private on two……

“We had a wonderful stay. Billy offered to let us check in early when we arrived at 1 PM. The cottage was classic OBX. It was beautifully decorated clean and just what our family afford. Our two little dogs loved the area. Wish we could’ve stayed longer but was just down for a wedding. We all agreed that we would enjoy a longer stay next time. Definitely want to come back.”

“Shore Relaxing is an amazing place. The house is absolutely beautiful and in a great location. We spent time hiking False Cape State Park (VA)...we found a gate to enter from NC. We also explored the Currituck Beach Lighthouse Park/Maritime Museum and hiked Currituck Banks Preserve. The wild horses made daily visits which excited, cautiously, our dog Roscoe. We look forward to a return to Shore Relaxing and would recommend to family and friends.”

“We’d stayed at this property in the past, and on our return trip it did not disappoint. Lovely location, easy walk to an uncrowded beach. The amenities were super, particularly the pool and hot tub. The only difficulty was having to leave at the end of our week’s stay.”

“My husband and I and our dog Luna stayed here for the weekend. It was the perfect location for what we wanted-a relaxing, comfortable, get-away weekend. We loved being in this part of Corolla, especially in the off-season. No traffic, easy access to uncrowded beaches for driving and hanging out. The cottage's location near Historic Corolla Park was perfect. We could walk across the road to see the sunset on the sound as well as climb the lighthouse for amazing views. A cute shopping/restaurant……

“Cottage has an open layout which makes it feel bigger. Fenced in yard and the big front porch were perfect for our dogs. Cottage is in a great location, across from beach entrance. First time in Nags Head and loved it! Would rent here again!”

“We have stayed at the Island cottage numerous times and have never been disappointed. We ran into some medical issues with my son this last trip and the Host could not have been more kind and helpful, they even offered to watch our pets while we went to the hospital. Love this place and the people. We are looking forward to our next visit!”

“This was a really wonderful surprise property for our beach weekend trip. The house was comfortable and clean, with everything you could need tucked away. It had card games and board games and the couches and chairs were comfortable. The beach was just a short walk away and the wagon and chairs provided helped make that super easy. 5 stars overall!”

“Home was very clean, fully apportioned with household items, owner helped with check-in, very quick response, plenty of games and activities. Great vacation for northerners to enjoy the sunshine in the south!”

“The cottage was very clean, nicely furnished, and well-appointed (beds, linens, towels, kitchen, etc.). The only drawback for us was the passing vehicle noise as the cottage is situated just a few yards from a busy road. This apparently has not been an issue for majority of guests so maybe just us. Host(s) were great communicators and have done everything "within their power" to provide a wonderful stay.”

“We came down to the Outer Banks for a late fall fishing trip with my son, dad and I. The place is 30 feet from the beach, three bedroom, private road access to the water. Exactly what we needed. Communication with tue owners was great and they were extremely helpful.”

“The management company, particularly Barbara, was very helpful and prompt in replying to all questions. Five stars for this! The house was spacious and accommodated our group of 13; however, the house is in need of updating. The dryer went out during our stay but was repaired but all appliances need to be upgraded. Pressure washing is needed for the exterior as we were unable to use the outdoor furniture due to the bird droppings and spider webs. Carpet is also in need of replacement. Although……

“Overall we had a good experience. However, lack of kitchen essentials, grass not being cut, and some areas of house need more attention to detail (Bathroom had some minor mold in tub and on shower liner. The air vents need to be cleaned as it was dusty.) Other than these minor discrepancies, the house is close to beach, main road, grocery store etc. The neighborhood was quite. The size of house had more than enough room for us 2 people.”
