「We stayed for a week with a group of 7. Plus 2 dogs. We had a great time. House was clean and had plenty of room for our group to spread out. It was really nice that my mom had her own bedroom and bath on the other side of the house. The kids could play cards and video games and not keep her awake. A daily or 2x a day visit to the store next door for ice cream was Awesome. The private beach was a short walk, which we needed after the ice cream. It was also a very nice to beach to float in the...

「We could stay here again, it was very comfortable, nicely decorated in a lodge motif. We had deer in the front yard in the morning. It was a nice space to bring our dog to.」

「I loved this place with one important caveat. The bathroom floor is extremely slippery. Socks and dry floor? Bare feet and wet floor? You need to be careful, especially if you're older. I almost did the splits going to use the restroom. The shower is small and you can't keep the curtain in, so the floor will get a bit wet. For most floors this really isn't a big deal, but it's basically like ice. I only point this out because I do not want someone to actually get hurt without at least a bit of a...

「Just beautiful and peaceful! Our second year going there!」

「We enjoyed our stay at Paul’s cabin. It was a great home base for us as we traveled around the area (Hillman, Alpena, Clear Lake State Park beach, Ocqueoc Falls, and Rogers City). The cabin was comfortable. It was close quarters but suited our needs. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.」

「Not trying to deter anyone from going here but I have to be honest. This location is beautiful but this facility is very dated. We expected to sit on the beach and enjoy some swimming but there was debris all over and it really needed a good raking. Pet friendly was a plus, however make sure you bring your own clean up bags. There is nothing wrong with being asked to clean up after ourselves but wasn’t expecting to be asked to wipe everything down and vacuum and take all garbage to dumpster at...

「4 ladies spent a great week at cabin 2. This cabin is near the water, which was beautiful, crystal clear and clean. The bottom was sand and not mucky. They had a floating dock we were able to use which we did spending the whole day on it. The cabin was clean and comfortable. John the host was outstanding and helpful. I highly recommend this place.」

「Nice property however did not care for vehicles with boats and trailers blocking our view of the bay.」

「Very quaint little cottage near Tawas and public beach. Close to good restaurants. We had a peaceful stay.」

「Nice house with great character. Location was excellent. Fenced yard was great for our dog. We also loved the front porch. Just a note that the stairs to the third bedroom are very steep since it’s an older house.」

「Enjoyed it immensely. Would like to see cottage updated a bit, but very clean and functional. Wonderful spot on the bay. Having the fireplace inside was cozy and wonderful.kitchen had the essentials.」

「We loved the property… so much that we are looking at lakefront property (a little farther south) the view was amazing and Ryan, the host, was great!」

「John and his wife were great ! The area is beautiful we will definitely be back !」

「Beautiful property and cottage. Very peaceful and relaxing. So quiet!!! The host is excellent and very thoughtful. Delicious desserts were left for us from the local Amish bakery- the BEST Brownies! We also enjoyed the kayaks that are provided with the rental. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation!」
