6/10
We arrived on Saturday and for the next 48 hours the power in the apartment (not on the street) went out about a dozen times. My wife was taking a shower and the power went out. Very scary for her. The apartment was cold so we needed to run the heating units. The apartment manager told us not to run too many appliances. Sunday we had practically no functioning heating. Monday morning we started the clothes washer and also used the toaster to have with breakfast. The power went out. Finally on Monday the manager came by with an electrician. He realized the system was out of balance and rearranged the load one the breakers. It seemed better but we still had a couple of more outages while running the washer. On top of this we had contractors hammering, scraping, plastering and painting exterior walls. The third week they lowered a ladder to work off our back deck. The town has a nice waterfront in the Centro district.Since we were staying the whole month the manager offered to do a clean and linen change half way through our time. That was nice to have.
