“Very quaint and historic property in the heart of Monnickedam. The room was lovely. Old world with modern fixtures. Just FYI, no elevator so request ground floor if you need to. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Short walk to the bus that can take you to Volendam or Amsterdam within 20 minutes”

“Ik vind Fletcher altijd redelijk basic. Er staat vaak dat dit viersterren hotels zijn, dat is niet mijn ervaring. Het is meer 3; en dat geldt ook voor het aangeboden ontbijt. Niet erg uitgebreid, eieren vaak teleurstellend, maar er is voldoende aanbod. Vers fruit zou wel een fijne toevoeging zijn. Het raam op mijn kamer stond open bij aankomst. Leuk, want koeler, maar er vloog ook een mug. Ik geef direct toe: beetje een zeurpunt, maar ik slaap gewoon niet als er een mug zoemt. Gewoon oke voor……

“The hotel is ideally located if you are planning to visit the Zandvoort motor racing circuit which is literally across the road. The hotel is located really close to the long sandy beach and about a 20 minute walk from the train station. One evening I had a meal in the bar / restaurant, entrecote steak with fries and vegetables, which was very good.
My room was fine but not brilliant. Twin beds pushed together to make a double, a safe and a large tv with seven UK channels and plenty of european……

“A very basic, no frills room, but worked great for me. The shower sometimes made a weird burbling noise (I think when someone else in the building was taking a shower?), and when it was hot outside the room got very hot (a small fan would go a long ways, there was no breeze from the window even when it cooled off outside), and the construction noises from the floor below started early. Carpet was old and worn, with a bleached out spot on it, but was otherwise clean. Continental breakfast was……
