“This was a repeat visit and the cabin was as great as it was before. Perched on a bluff overlooking a bend in the James River, the cozy log cabin provided a wonderful winter retreat for our family of 5 adults. Elizabeth is a great host, the directions were spot-on, and the bedroom are comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts. Thoroughly enjoyed it once again.”

“Dave was absolutely wonderful to communicate with during this stay. The cabin was fantastic, spotless, very cozy and adequately equipped. The fireplace is beautiful and we loved the wraparound decks.The bed linens were very high quality and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. There were snacks, coffee and tea available as well as drinks in the fridge which was an extremely nice touch and much appreciated. If you like higher end shampoo/conditioner/soap you'll want to bring some of your own,……

“A perfect getaway to celebrate the holidays! We visited Eagles Rest with my one month shy of 90 year-old mother, and two adult kids. We appreciated the welcoming amenities and meticulously clean and cozy atmosphere! Having two bedrooms on the primary floor was helpful for older guests, and the loft suite was beautifully private! We also enjoyed the location close to Roanoke, and the trailheads connecting to the Appalachian Trail were just minutes drive away! We had a wonderful stay, and it……
