"The breakfast was fantastic, definitely one of the best.There was loads of choice both hot and cold. Plus the chef was more than willing to make my scrambled egg with Oat and not Cow’s milk. The property was on a bus route and the bus stop was close by. I had booked this property as I was attending the Wickham Festival and pleasantly suprised to discover that the entrance was a 12 minute walk. "

"Bit of a walk from the train station to the hotel (recommend taxi or uber), but once I got there, it was so nice to be able to relax in a comfy and spacious bed. Recommend going to the gym & swim facilities too; liked the steam room and lane swimming. Changing rooms excellent size. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Bed so comfy I accidentally slept 10 hours and almost missed breakfast, but when I did go down to eat, there was still plenty of choice and room to sit. Would have liked there to be a hot chocolate option instead of just tea and coffee but that’s just personal preference. In the evening, I liked the chicken health bowl and the comfy seating. Overall, I would recommend the village hotel and would go back again. Many thanks. "

"I read the reviews after booking and to be honest I was not expecting much, but it was lovely. Room spacious and clean, bathroom clean and well stocked. Lots of tea and coffee in room, along with biscuits. Are in the hotel, excellent hot food!!"
