I highly recommend MJs Bar and Grille, La Rosa (authentic Italian, is about 10 mins from the house).For the BEST country breakfast go to Bakers Kitchen (their Dutch Potatoes are out of this world). 「Looks can be deceiving. The exterior doesn't match the interior. The interior was clean, spacious and modern. It is about a mile from the downtown area, so we trailered our golf cart which was a huge benefit. They do provide bicycles if you don't have a golf cart. We would stay here again.」

「Charming historic home in downtown New Bern - perfect walking distance to heart of downtown and practically across the street from Tryon Palace. We stayed in the downstairs unit which has a lovely back porch, great little patio and plenty of off street parking. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond when I had a question about the keys. Would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in town.」
