Fabulous house

We had an amazing stay at Rock Lobster. The house was comfortable and clean and the views were fantastic. We saw dolphins nearly every day. The house is in a great location for exploring the coastline with walks on the doorstep. I can’t wait to stay here again. It’s just perfect.

Another wonderful week

Our third year coming here with son, daughter in law and 2 young grandchildren. Always love staying here, it’s such a lovely property, right by the coastal path just outside lovely Craster. We love exploring the area on foot, by bike, bus, car and kayak. Good local cafes, pubs, village shops and excellent unspoilt beaches. The property is perfect for us, very clean, spacious and a large and secure garden. Works really well. Beautiful sea views and great for dolphin spotting when the sea is calm. We hope to return next year. Thank you.

Rock Lobster is a beautiful house set in a lovely location with spectacular sea views. It felt very homely for our week’s stay. It was fully equipped and very clean and comfortable.

This is possibly the best equipped holiday cottage we have stayed at. High end equipment too! Very clean & comfortable. The only slight criticism is we felt rather exposed downstairs as everyone on the coastal path unashamedly stares in!! We shall certainly be recommending Rock Lobster & are making plans to return.

Wonderful coastal retreat in the wilds of Northumberland

Second stay at this superb location. Blessed by the best weather Northumberland has experienced in a long time. Just love the sound of the waves breaking on the rocky shore and the numerous sightings of dolphins during the week. What more can you want…idyllic!

Dolphin watching!

Rock Lobster is a perfect place. It has everything you would wish to have in a holiday place. It is very comfortable, you can be preparing a meal and still chat with everyone. All the bedrooms and ensuites are tastefully furnished. The games room (garage) is great for the children. To cap it off the views are amazing.

This property was fantastic, excellent location overlooking the sea. Perfect for 4 couples as each bedroom has its own en-suite/bathroom. Welcome basket of bread, jam, tea, coffee, butter and milk was nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you

A very well equipped and comfortable house in a quiet location overlooking the sea, literally just off the coastal path. The house and the large surrounding garden, with plenty of parking, easily accommodated our family with lots of space and all necessary facilities. The only issue is that EV charging is not allowed at the property which seems ‘penny pinching’ for such a modern and high priced/high spec. property. (Craster does, in theory, have a public charger but due to non-existent mobile coverage it is very unreliable.) Craster itself is lovely and tranquil. It is well placed to explore the Northumberland Coast and environs. Nearby Alnwick has lots to see and do, as well as all the more day to day shops and services.

Family house together

Hired Rock lobster a few times now and one of there’s other houses in Craster numerous times now. Always the best kept property’s everything provided in kitchen and bedrooms heating and always plenty hot water. Spotlessly clean as usual. Easy to book with and any extra can be provided. High chairs etc great views and well kept gardens. Brilliant

Northumberland anniversary tour

Rock lobster is an amazing property in a prime area of Craster. Perfect for exploring the treasures of Northumberland as well as watching dolphins from the balcony (we saw 30+ in our stay !!!) and local fishermen catching crabs and lobsters. The property is spotlessly clean and very well equipped with brilliant spaces for relaxing and eating. We had a fantastic time and I’d wholly recommend it.

Perfect Craster break

Our walking group stayed for 3 nights. The house location and facilities are excellent and access to the coastal path is through the garden gate Both the local pubs do excellent food and at the house it was easy to cater for our large party. We managed use the twin dish washers. !!

Superb accomodation

The comfiest beds you will ever find. Sitting up in be with a cup of tea watching the waves was so beautiful we had to drag ourselves outside. Beautiful furnishings and everything you could need in terms of kitchen equipment. While the waves crashed outside during the storm one night we could not have been cosier. Rock lobster is very special indeed.
