Great property with nice views

Great house to hang out while exploring Big Bend! Loved the patio area off the side, a perfect happy hour spot. Had a couple of temperature-related issues (outside temps in the 20s at night) but the property manager was responsive and quick to resolve. Highly recommend a stay at this property. Thanks!

We love Crystal Valley Cabin

We have stayed here 3 times now and we love it so much. It’s very rustic yet has everything you need. The views and location cannot be beat. We make so many memories here each year and can’t wait to come back. There is a mouse problem but I am sure that has been fixed by now. :)

This was our second time staying at Crystal valley and we plan on coming back every year! The views are unbeatable. It is total magic and our 4 year old loves it just as much. We made so many memories yet again and we feel like it’s our home when we come :)

Beautiful views and very peaceful and quiet. Stunning views of the night sky. The house was comfortable and well stocked. They thought of just about every detail from clear instructions to locate the house to stocking it with water, this property is a great place to stay! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Location - Awesome Host

Although the property is in need of some TLC all of which can be overlooked. The location is exceptional. The views are amazing. The beds are super comfy. And the host was immediately available the couple of times we needed to get in touch and he was super helpful and kind. I avoided taking a shower just so I could use that outdoor bathtub which was my favorite thing about this property. We stayed for my birthday. After our visits to the parks, horseback riding, and staying at this house this will be one of my favorite birthdays ever. The whole family had a wonderful time and loved the house and all it had to offer.

Great value & property. Far enough away to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, yet close enough to the attractions to be reasonable. One issue we had was fixed same day. Highly recommended

Spacious property in a stunning location

Spacious property in a stunning location. Large living area with a leather sofa and 2 recliners. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. We loved eating dinner on the back porch with an amazing view of the mountains. We will certainly rent this house if we're back in the Big Bend area.

There isn’t any words that can describe the views this place has! You have to see it for yourself. The house was a wonderful getaway and we will return here on another trip if it is available.

Beautiful stay!

We spent three nights here during my children’s February break and it was wonderful. The house sit at our needs perfectly. We cooked almost every meal here except for dinner one night, and never had an issue with supplies. The grocery store that the hosts recommended an alpine was wonderful. Be prepared for a lot of driving, but that’s typical in this area and the stars are worth it.

Bachelor Getaway

A group of 5 friends wanted to have a more calm bachelor weekend since the majority of us are married, so we decided to go to Big Bend. We wanted to go hiking, canoeing and hit a jeep trail while we were there. The accommodation was affordable and actually very nicely done. The structure is in great shape and renovated nicely. It had a great living space to hang out in and the outdoor patio and firepit area was a nice space to have a beer while looking at the stars. The host was very receptive and quick to respond to our questions. The location itself is just right down the road from Terilingua Ranch Lodge and the pool which is a plus. I would definitely go back to this spot and with friends or family.

Comfort in unreal surroundings

This is one of the vacation rentals that the online pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful desert surroundings just outside of Big Bend. We had an issue with the kitchen supplies that the owner quickly stepped in to resolve. Comfortable beds, clean place. Note this is the desert, so water is conserved more than you are probably used to at home. Not a big deal, something to be mindful of. We loved this place. Watching the sunrise each morning and the sunset each evening were highlights of our trip.

Thanksgiving at Big Bend

We really enjoyed Crystal Valley Cabin! It was a cozy home base for adventures in Big Bend. Great stargazing, campfire space, and views. Heads up that there is not a dishwasher or laundry machine. The kitchen is missing some things such as a large stock pot and pot holders. Communication was prompt, but the prop manager told us there was a slow cooker in the cabin and there wasn't. Other than that, it was a fantastic trip!!

Me, my husband, and our 3 year old daughter had the best time ever at crystal valley cabin! Such a cute house, has everything you need. The views are out of this world. We loved the pergola area and outdoor tub. We made the most special memories during our trip. We were so sad to leave!

The house is beautiful, so many details everywhere you look. The view from the patio is unparalleled. And it’s a perfect location to explore Big Bend. The owner lives next door, but keeps to herself. It had everything we needed, but I would def recommend bringing Tupperware/baggies if you plan on cooking and needing food storage. Also, there is no TV in the house. This wasn’t a problem for us, but if you have littles who may need to be entertained, bring Wi-Fi compatible devices.

Remote getaway to enjoy Big Bend

Great little property that has everything you need for a good stay. If you have never been to BBNP, then be prepared to drive a lot but the drives are easy and scenic. The property is remote, but it beat every other alternative that I saw around the area and it was definitely better than making a long drive back to Alpine or Marathon. Enjoying the stars at night was amazing and just adds to the appeal of this property.
