A great stay with a great view!

We had a wonderful time here! Directions were clear and easy to follow. I do recommend your initial arrival be during daylight since the roads and dark and curvy. The home was clean and beds were comfortable. The view from the porch during night is exactly what we were looking for. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect spot

I have stayed in Terlingua many times. This is the perfect spot. Cute home nestled in the moutains. Clean, comfortable and perfect for star watching. Host keeps in contact and responds quickly. Where this home is, it is in one of the only spots in the area with cellular service.

Desert Hide-Away

We enjoyed the peace and solitude of this desert home. Far from the crowds-which was exactly what we were looking for. Terlingua was not far and the beauty of Big Bend was all around us. If you would like to experience desert life- this is the perfect spot for it. The back porch provided us with great evenings and the most beautiful Texas sky filled with millions of stars. Will definitely be back !!

We had a few hiccups at the beginning of our stay that were out of the host’s control. But they made things right and that we were well taken care of. The host is very responsive. The property has everything you would need for your stay and the views in the morning and evening are spectacular. We loved our stay at No Stock Ranch and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay at when they’re visiting Big Bend

Well stocked ranch

We were impressed by all the kitchen amenities. The open porch let us see so many stars which we appreciated. We saw quail and heard other wildlife at night. The rooms were comfortable. Our only suggestion for improvement is for lounge chairs, where you could lie down on the open porch, and then look at stars while lying down. The ranch was convenient to Big Bend, but it was far enough out to get away.

Quiet and Serene

Very clean and cozy stay! Perfect location for a quiet day and night setting. Kitchen is fully stocked and we were thankful for the provided drinking water. The back porch has wonderful views during the day and is perfect for stargazing at night. I would suggest driving up to the property for the first time while it’s light outside (since it’s not on the GPS). After you’ve driven it once, it’s super easy to get to day or night thanks to the owner’s detailed instructions.

The detailed instructions to get to this property were very helpful! The place was clean, the beds were comfortable,it had a well stocked kitchen, good AC and we enjoyed spending evenings on the porch. We'd definitely stay here again!

The rental itself was more than adequate! My buddy & I slept on-trail in Big Bend the second night of our stay & the rental provided much need comfort & relaxation for recovering from a hard hitting 2 day hike!Ps: Don’t “explore” the small mountain behind the rental! Some guy will yell at you for exploring his “back yard”!

Great Location to Explore the area

Great setup for my wife and toddler. Property is as described in the listing, good communication with host. We saw lots of wildlife around and could just walk down the deck steps to explore a little of the desert. Very quiet, great stars at night and sunrises in the morning. I would not hesitate to book as a base camp for exploring the big bend park and area.

Beautiful scenery

It was perfect and relaxing. It stayed cool inside in the hottest part of the day. My advice is to come in a little earlier the road becomes hard to see at night. But gorgeous overall.

Great Experience

Daryl & Janet were great host. They communicated well and everything was ready when we arrived. No issues. The views from the property are amazing, especially at night. I wish I could add pictures to my review. We had so much fun calling No Stock ranch our home for a week and it was way too short!!

Picture perfect location in Terlingua

We were extremely happy with this house as our base camp for our time at Big Bend. The house is in a tricky location (and not GPS reliable) but the instructions provided by the property managers were so specific and helpful in getting there. Daryl was quickly accessible and immediately responsive to fix this. The view from the porch for sunrise and sunset is peaceful and beautiful, and the stars at night were amazing. The house and beds were comfy and kitchen was well-stocked for us to prepare several meals. Highly recommend this rental!

Big Bend stay

We did so enjoy our stay at the No Stock Ranch. The home was highly comfortable with quality furnishings and wall art. There was a porch on each side of the house offering different and beautiful views. Location was ideal for visiting Big Bend. There were a few issues however, which we made the management company aware of stating that they could be handled upon our departure. Two emails and one text later we heard back though they stated they had responded to our initial email. They told us that they would make the cleaning crew aware

Roomy with Great Porch and Views

We enjoyed our stay at the No Stock Ranch while we visited Big Bend. It has a huge porch with great views. Two large bedrooms and two large baths. Big Kitchen and Living. Great for families or people who need separate bedrooms and want to visit / cook at home. Hosts were very helpful.

A taste of being off grid, but with amenities

The property was emasculate when we arrived and was well stocked. The check-in instructions / directions to the property were very helpful. You are about 20 miles from Big Bend, but the scenery around No Stock Ranch and to the park is amazing. I have lived in Texas for several years and never realized that Texas has 7800 ft mountains. During our stay, there was some rain, and it was also amazing to see some of the cactus flower. We also were able to see local fauna from the deck, the gopher really put on a show. In the evening we enjoyed the sunsets while relaxing on the deck and the sunsets were some of the best we have experienced (No light pollution). All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Big Bend and No Stock ranch.

Perfect week

Property is just as listed. The covered porch is the star attraction...beautiful view. Perfect place to start and end the day. About 30 mins to Terlingua and Big Bend. We had a great week exploring the area.
