“Such a beautiful house to enjoy peace away from home. The view of the meadow, sounds of the creek, waterfall, goats, deer, geese add to the serenity. Everything we needed was at the house, but we did also enjoy a day in Tahoe City and Grass Valley. Missed the Nothern Lights but saw the stars from the floor to ceiling windows. We will come back!”

“The door was not locked when we arrived. There was no instruction how to lock the door when you go for a walk. It would have been better if the cabin was not so close to the main drag. ”

“The property was beautiful. Everything yoiu would need was provided. It was off the beaten path so very quiet and woodsy. Our group of 9 were high school buddies (50 years ago) having our yearly golf trip. Several golf courses within 15 min and after a round of golf in the warm weather, the pool was a life safer. Everyone staying there said the accomodations were beyond their expectations.”

“We had a family reunion with 21 people stay at Forest Cottage. There was plenty of space, our children ages 1-11 loved the “park” as they called it, which was the large, completely fenced play area out front which we could watch them play from the front deck or from the many windows in the house. The kitchen is very well equipped with many pots and pans, dishes, etc. There is a big closet with lots of family games. Plenty of bedding and towels are provided, as well as hand soap, TP, and paper……

“We stayed here a month while in between homes. On moving day we arrived in the evening exhausted and were so surprised to see this stunning property as we drove up. It was like arriving at heaven after moving all day. After waking up and looking out the windows in the morning I couldn’t believe we had the honor of staying such a beautiful place. “Let me start off by saying the two-star review seems a bit harsh. Here are my thoughts. Indeed, the pool lights go off at 9pm and you can't be loud past that time. The neighbors aren't super close, but I'm sure this property had issues with noise in the past and that probably ruined it for everyone going forward. The pool table and ping pong tables are smaller than your typical, but I thought the shuffleboard table was legit. The house was clean, no issues there. We had mild weather so I can't……

“The cottage packs at lot into a small space. The screened-in porch is lovely. The property is close to walking trails and easy walk to town. Great for a relaxed get-away.”
