"The worst service."

"We stayed at MCM Eleganté Hotel & Suites Lubbock during a concert weekend and had one of the most frustrating hotel check-in experiences we’ve ever had. We got in line at 2:45 PM to be ready for the 4:00 PM check-in, only to be sent to the back of the line after 45 minutes because our room type wasn’t available. After waiting again, we reached the desk around 5:10 PM and were told our room still wasn’t ready. With no other options provided, we were forced to change in public restrooms and finish getting ready in our car just to make it to the concert we had driven 12 hours to attend. Our room wasn’t ready until 5:52 PM (the concert had already started). They then had the audacity to go knocking on doors at 9am the next morning asking people when they were going to be out of their rooms. (Check out time is 12) This wasn’t just a delay—it was a breakdown in the check-in process. No organization, no urgency, no care for their guests, and no accommodations offered to guests who were clearly affected. It significantly impacted our experience. After attempting to contact them after this experience and allowing them the opportunity to make things right, their response was that they were one of the only hotels in the area to waive a two night minimum for the event. Which isn’t even true because when I booked this hotel 5 months ago, there were tons of available hotels for a single night stay. "

"I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the room we were given. As soon as we walked in, it was obvious it had not been properly cleaned—if at all. The beds had visible stains of poop or vomit on the sheets and mattress, and the bedding looked used and unwashed. The floors were dirty and covered with trash, including towels, food debris, and random items left behind. The furniture and surfaces were cluttered and clearly not wiped down. In the bathroom area, the sink and counter were unclean, with trash left underneath and on top. Even the mirror was visibly dirty. Overall, the entire room gave the impression that it had been completely neglected. This was not just a minor cleanliness issue—it was unacceptable and unsanitary. We did not feel comfortable staying in the room at all and had no choice but to leave and find another place to stay after already traveling a long distance. I would not recommend staying here unless major improvements are made to their cleaning and inspection standards. "

"great place to stay! easy check in."

"Staff was a bit standoffish at check-in. We felt like we received a “less than” greeting since we’d booked through a 3rd party. The staff member told us due to “the type of booking,” we weren’t eligible to PAY for an early check in. This was at 2:30. Official check in was at 3. 30 minutes later when the magical time hit, we were informed of the $18 amenities fee. Fire pits were off due to high winds and the pool was busy with college students who came and went while we were there. Grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed cornhole and the pool, but it seemed weird to pay to use all of it when restaurant customers and local students could do the same for free. I realized later that I’d left my sunglasses downstairs. When my husband went to the front desk to ask if they’d been turned in, the gentleman he asked shrugged his shoulders without even faking an effort to look for them and said “not to my knowledge.” The room was beautiful, the beds were comfy and the property was lovely….but we won’t be back because of the sub par service. We were so excited to stay there but were let down. "

"If you are comfortable with a motel over a hotel, you’ll be okay… -Air conditioning works -Terribly uncomfortable beds and flat lumpy pillows -No electric outlets in the bathrooms for hair products, very few in house overall -Only given half a roll of paper towels so bring your own -Couch covering itchy-Lighting not great - lightbulbs dead or missing-Broken finishings - tile on kitchen island, closet door off the hinges -Roach found in our shoes overnight -Ice maker didn’t work - bought our own ice-There’s a coffee pot, but no coffee grounds-One house away from gas station - not the safest feeling -Overall clean I understand it is listed as a budget-friendly, basic property, but this was as basic as I’ve ever seen. "

"This is a decent place to stay but overpriced for the cleanliness and comfortability. First of all they do not maintain the rooms. There was something poking out of the floor that we stepped on so we had to wear shoes. The bathroom had not been cleaned good. Towels had dirt/stains on them. No one has cleaned behind the toilet in awhile. The hair dryer had never been cleaned. Most hotels use unlimited liquid soaps/lotions/shampoo and conditioner dispensers now, but not this hotel. The curtains had never been cleaned. The floor was gross. It was not the worst I have stayed at but it was not one I would stay at again."
