Summary: Clean and friendly, but very noisy and hot What I liked: The staff were friendly. The bedding and overall facilities were clean and well above average. What I didn't like: I stayed in a street-facing triple room on August 14th and had three major issues: 1) Severe street noise due to poor soundproofing on the windows. 2) The AC did not work, making the room too hot to get a proper night's sleep. 3) No door on the shower booth, causing high humidity and a dangerously slippery floor right outside the shower. Maybe tries a little too hard to seem hip, eco-cool and alternative, but the staff were very helpful and the place is clean, and well-located. Be warned, though: little space to work, no wardrobe (just a little rail) and the 'climate control' listed on the Hotels.com site is just a radiator - don't make the same mistake as me and expect aircon in hot weather.

Excellent location, lovely room. Best was the staff and conviviality of the setup at this small hotel. Wine & cheese at 5-6p every evening, gorgeous skylit, bright sitting/dining area. We only had coffee in the morning but the hot Breakfast looked amazing. Location is perfect — easy walk to the old center but away from its crowds, great food/market quarter to east, across from concert hall & short walk across the green to the rijksmuseum….A memorable stay.

The hotel is wonderful. The rooms are big and comfortable by European standards. The staff are warm and welcoming and always available to chat. Public transport is nearby as are a number of good dining options. The only negative is for amenities. If you want a fitness center or a pool this is not the spot for you.
